I couldn’t go any further than the first step of their porch. My hands were sweating and the tray of cookies in my hand almost fell off. There was this loud thud in my chest that I wondered what could be. I knew it was my heart beat, but there’s something else about it that I couldn’t seem to understand. Perhaps there was something about you that’s making me feel like this.
The front door opened, scaring me and making me ran back to the house. I heard someone called me but I was too flustered to come back and say my hello. That’s when I saw that there were no cookies on the tray anymore.
That was so embarrassing.
I wondered it it was him who opened the door. I hoped not because I think, he would definitely laugh at me.
