I liked quotes.
I had a book full of quotes that I made myself. One of it was, "Knowing someone takes time." Would someone believe in that quote?
I asked grandma last night, what was the guy's name. She said that it's Jace. I liked it. It's simple and... simple.
Grandma suggested that I should visit him and give some homemade cookies. It was a good suggestion but I was still shy to approach the guy.
But she said, "I thought you want to be friends with him?"
And I said, "Yeah, but..."
"But what?"
"What if he doesn't like to talk to me?"
She smiled but it didn't reach her ear. "He will like it if you talk to him, for sure."
The way grandma said those words felt like she knew Jace her whole life. Then again, maybe she knew him her whole life. If he was from here and born here, then she knew him. But I hadn't seen his mom or dad or even his siblings come to our house.
I guess I would never know things unless I start talking to him, right?
