Another week had passed and to be honest, days was passing by too fast for me. During those times that we were together, I couldn’t help but keep on wondering why he had to face this situation. Why he had to be the person to be blind? Why did he think that way? I wanted to make him believe that there’s something to expect. That there’s still hope and maybe who knew? Maybe there would be a chance for him to see again.
“Emma, do you like someone?" he asked out of nowhere as we took a seat on the bench at the playground.
“Yes,” was all I said.
“Does he likes you, too?”
“I don’t know. I haven’t told him about my feelings yet.”
“Why?”
“Because I was afraid he won’t say it back to me.”
After I said those, he turned to my direction, a handsome smile that made my day complete plastered on his face. “Do you think he likes you?” he asked. I didn’t know where was he going with this.
“I don’t know,” I mumbled. My cheeks were heating up at this conversation that we were having.
“Can I touch your face?” he asked, catching me off guard. I smiled before holding his hand and gesturing it towards my face.
Like I always said, his eyes were dull and lifeless but today, it's saying something.
He cupped my face and said, “Because you know, I think he likes you.”
