"Hey, Alexa!"
"Hi."
"Is your brother there? Can I talk to him?"
She looked at me with a sad face. "Mom!"
After a minute or so, Julie (Jace and Alexa's mom) appeared by the door. "Hello, Emma."
"Hello. Can I talk to Jace?"
She looked the same like Alexa. I wondered what was wrong with Jace. "I'm sorry but he doesn't want to be disturbed at the moment."
The smile on my face disappeared in an instant. "Okay," was all I said before I turned around and walked away.
Then she called out to me, "Have you finished the mixtape?"
I faced her again. "Not yet."
"Please do," she said before finally closing the door now.
It made me so curious now so I ran back inside the house and forwarded the tape. Playing it and then forward again until I reached into something.
