When I got home that same day, I went straight to my room and plopped down on my bed, face flat. Why did he have to say that? And so what if he was blind? That didn't mean anything.
I got up and played the mixtape again. I didn't want to listen to it in one sitting so whenever one or two songs was over, I stopped it.
"This song is 'Stuck On You' by Lionel Richie. I really don't have anything else to say so here it is..."
The song started playing and it made me a little better. I really liked the songs in this mixtape.
I was still curious why Jace's mom would give me this mixtape and the book. I didn't know how would I ask her or even Jace.
Sigh.
When the song ended, I stopped it. I ran out of the house and went to Jace's house. I just wanted to make sure that we were still okay as friends after what happened earlier.
