Chapter 5 Treat You Better

Chapter 5 Bella's POV:
"Don't I ever want to see that freak again." Lucas demanded.
"Don't call him that. He was just helping me unlike you." I told him turning walking away from him.
"Don't talk to me like that." He grabbed my arm. I looked at him.
"You're hurting me." I told him with anger.
"That's enough Lucas." I looked over at Noah as he was walking towards me. He threw my arm down.
"I'll see you guys later." He walked out as I wiped my face with the towel.
"I told you Bella I don't like him. I never did." Noah shook his head.
"He's a good guy once you get to know him..." He interrupted me.
"I do know him for months and he's an asshole!" I rolled my eyes. Lucas can be a jerk, but he can be really nice.
"I'm telling you. He's only using you.."
"Stop! No he's not."
"FOR ATTENTION! YOUR PROBABLY THE ONLY ONE WHO ACTUALLY GIVES IT TO HIM!" I began to walk away from Noah as I was beginning to get completely frustrated. Shawn though I couldn't get out of my head. He wasn't afraid to get dirty, he made me laugh at that moment which I felt like I really needed. I just want someone who isn't going to break my heart, but love me for who I am. I walked into our store not caring what I looked like.
"Excuse me can I get a coffee?" I looked at the women standing in front of the counter. I titled my head at her.
"Did you say coffee?" She nodded.
"We don't have coffee, but we have milk?" I offered.
"Oh okay. Then can I get mocha latte?"
"Mam. We sell dairy stuff. You know milk, butter?" I explained.
"Oh okay then get me something coffee related." She asked.
"Dude." I told her as I looked at her as if she was the dumbest person alive. I saw Noah walk in behind as I pulled him close.
"Hey Noah why don't you help this idiot. Okay gotta go." I walked out as I ran into Shawn. I tripped on my boots and landed into a pile of leaves.
"Shoot! I'm so sorry." I looked around not caring that I fell, but where the hell did these leaves come from? Seriously there are no trees around this section of the farm. He helped me up as I looked at him into the eyes as a leaf fell out of my hat.
"Shawn whatcha doing here?" I asked.
"I came to see if you were okay." A part of me lit up. I actually had someone who wanted to check on me. Or maybe because he thinks I'm a complete loser who makes a fool of herself.
"You know what Shawn, wanna see something?" I shot up dusting myself off he stood quiet.
"Alright let's go." I grabbed his hand and walked to the back of the farm. I took him through some trees, and finally reached a lake with a wooden deck and a rope hanging from a tree.
"Like it?" He smiled.
"It's fantastic." He chuckled. I side smile crept across my face as I watched his wondering eyes.
"I usually come here by myself when I don't feel completely 100%. You're actually the first person I have taken here." I told him.
"Your brother doesn't know this is here?" He questioned.
"No. Sometimes I just want some things to myself." I responded.
"I don't blame you." He said. He looked down. I didn't want this conversation to get emotional, so I lit myself up.
"Alright follow me." I took a step as my foot got caught on a tree branch and I fell into the water. I wanted to stay down because every time he is around me I find a way to not stay on my feet. I have no idea why. But it's the most embarrassing thing. I lifted my head up trying to find him as he was standing up laughing. I shook my head.
"I have got to teach you how to stay on your feet." He added.
"Yeah yeah. Help me." I put my hand out as he grabbed it and I yanked him in.
"Ahhh!" He yelled as he landed right on top of me. We both rose to the top and were coughing.
"I should have saw that coming." I looked into his eyes thinking wow. He does have pretty eyes. Any girl would be absolutely lucky to be with him.
"Let me ask you something." I said swimming to him.
"Okay I'm listening."
"Why do you keep coming back here?"
"I don't know." I raised a brow at him.
"You don't know?" I asked. He went underwater and I searched for him until I got dragged underneath. I popped up as he did and I splashed water at him laughing. Something about him made me interested in him, but when I think of it, Lucas comes in my head.
