Darkened eyes zip open as Caleb leans up in his bed, his wolf peaking outwards a bit also trying to wake completely. His eyes shift back to a neutral shade of blue before he looks to his side.
Biting into his tongue as sadness is ever creeping into his eyes. He can't stand the thought of being without a mate, ever since his father told him he would find her once he turned 17. It ticks him off to no end, he turned of age a year ago and has searched far for her but hasn't once felt the mate link.
Even if he hasn't marked her, he still should be able to at least feel her.
His fingers clench at his side as he gets up, really he was only making it worse. His wolf always trying to reassure him that she is there.
"Stop getting mad at her."
"Go Away!"
He was irritated as it was he didn't need his wolf to make it even worse. He moves to his bathroom, hopefully, a shower would get rid of the doubt and calm him.
The trickle of water against his red hair as it runs over his body. Caleb stands beneath the showerhead letting his thoughts wander. Losing himself to the sounds of the water until a slight chill breaks across his skin.
"..s-..shit..?"
He breathes out a little bit before reaching for the knob and turning the water off. He wouldn't have minded staying even with the cold water but he's already been warned of his father.
He snatches one of his maroon towels down before he begins to dry off. His bathroom door opens as he walks out in a pair of jeans. Running the towel across his scalp as he's still drying his hair.
His hand freezes against the towel as his eyes again dart to his bed. The towel falls half against his shoulder as his eyes fill with anger.
A sudden smack resonates through his room as his fist collides with the wall hard. Drywall crumbles around his hand as he pulls it back leaving a hole in his wall.
"Fuck."
He stumbles backward to his bed, falling back down onto it. His now darkened blue eyes close as he tries to calm himself. So many days have been spent just trying to find her but he's starting to get discouraged.
He would be over the moon to have her right next to him. Running hands against his shoulders and asking what was wrong only for him to not answer and instead just kiss her.
"Stop dwelling on it so much. We will find her."
As much as he would love to tell his wolf to fuck off, he is right.
He lifts himself back up, grabbing the simple black t-shirt off his bed before leaving his room.
He walks off down the hallway as he slips the shirt over his head. He would sometimes just irritate the maids by doing this, they know he's not their mate so he does it to just piss them off.
Better for there to be someone else mad here, he gets tired of being the only one in a bad mood day in and day out.
He runs his hand through his hair, shifting it to the left away from the shaved half. His red hair still slightly sticking to his skin as he tries to get it somewhat presentable.
A slightly chirpy, squeaky female voice pops up behind him and his eyes lighten up a tiny bit.
"Caleb.. wait for me."
A slinky, blonde-haired female pops up out of nowhere. A slight irregularity to her breathing as if she'd been running to catch up. Caleb's eyes roll ever so slightly before dipping down to the doe-eyed female, she is normally a bit shorter than him but with the pink pumps she just barely inches up to his 6 ft height.
