Evie remains frozen, her hands refusing to move any further. She knows why it feels so familiar that it aches her heart. It shouldn't be possible without one of them having contact with the other.
Her legs shake as words are lost to her. Her gaze leaves Caleb only once before she is yanked to face the angry Alpha.
"WHY AREN'T YOU RESPONDING TO ME?"
All feeling comes crashing back down as she feels his fingers digging into her forearm. She hisses as a whimper catches behind her lips. She find her balance once again.
"Genevieve?"
Her eyes dart to meet Dante as he stands just behind the alpha. Her eyes shift downcast as she regains movement.
Her finger work their way to the Alpha's strong grip. It takes a few moments for her to work his grip off her forearm. The ache spreads down her arm as she instinctively tries to soothe it.
She feels the dull ache ripple from where his fingers had pressed into her skin, no doubt there will be bruises there soon.
She turns back to face the angry Alpha as she tries to put the uneasy feeling to the back of her mind. Issac seems to grow more impatient, she frowns before raising her hand to him.
"Even though your my Alpha you need to calm the fuck down....I cannot focus with your constant interruptions let alone the injury you or your wolf has likely done by manhandling me."
Dante stands dumbfounded by Evie's outburst before his eyes zip to the Alpha. He easily feels the anger seeping off the Alpha.
He turns his attention back to Caleb as he spots Sky slinking into the room and towards the seat he had been using before.
His eyes roll to one side as she is once again trying to coddle herself closer to Caleb. It annoys him to no end with every attempt she has pulled trying to throw herself at Caleb.
Dante huffs out uneasily before he edges to the door, turning his gaze onto the Alpha.
"Alpha, I think it's best to leave Caleb to rest. You probably have other pack work to deal with anyway."
Dante shoulders himself off the doorframe before he starts moving away from the room. He would've stayed till Caleb woke but with Skylar there it's not worth listening to her insistent chatter.
Her heart beats in a slow constant rhythm, her eyes are closed to the world.
An audible scream echoes through her ears, a set of words grace her lips except these aren't her thoughts but anothers.
"Our mate stands before us, I hear his heart beating out of control as yours will soon follow. My mate sits behind his eyes as he walks forwards."
She sees nothing but dark nothingness, the sound of an out of control heart beat grows louder in her ears.
"They stay back not for us but because they know the consequences of seeing us. Our form will scream to him even when I cannot speak."
"He will be ours but another will stand in our way. Be wary of the dirty smell that they possess, in their heart we are a possession, a toy for their pleasure."
Rylee looks around as the heart beat silences and finds herself wanting it back.
"They're attempting to take from all of us a special moment that even I am waiting for. In this moment you truly become what others have taunted you with."
Another voice this time male appears near her, her head snaps up to the darkness something about the voice is pulling her in.
"In your eyes we will be whole, in his heart you will forever take hold. Your heart beat quickening by our voice will take control even when you still know nothing of us."
