Y/N P.O.V
This is the third night Diggy hasn't come home. Every night I've stayed up and fallen asleep on the sofa, hoping he'd return home at a reasonable hour. He's my husband, but he finds something, or someone, else more entertaining. I have reason to be skeptical of his whereabouts. It's drawing close to 4:00 am. This is even later than last night. Where is he?
Diggy's P.O.V
It's late. Really late. I was supposed to be home hours ago, but I had to be somewhere else. Y/N and I have been married for four years, but we've been dating for six. Sadly, I'm hiding the biggest secret, ever.About a year before I met Y/N I was with a girl named Marie. Marie and myself have two kids together. One of them I had while Y/N and I were together. I have never told Y/N about my kids.
For the past couple of nights, I've been staying at Marie's. My kids really miss me and because I'm either working or with Y/N I don't see them as much as I should. Plus, yesterday was Father's Day. Therefore, I stayed at Marie's to compensate for the time lost. Marie has been trying to make some moves on me, but I can't do that to Y/N, again. We're married this time around and I made a vow to be faithful.
I parked my car in the garage and went inside the house, trying to be as quiet as I could. It's late and all I want to do is sleep. I know Y/N is probably waiting up. I'm hoping she's asleep, though. I don't have the time or energy for confrontation.
I tip toed to the kitchen and was surprised by the lights flicking on.
"Where were you?" I could hear the sadness in her voice.
I sighed, "I was out with Rus."
He's my brother and he's always getting in trouble or wanting to go out and have fun. I thought it'd be a good excuse. I was wrong.
"I called him Diggy. He said he hadn't seen you tonight. Or last night or the night before, even though you told me you were with him." I looked at her and saw her face was soaked in tears. "Diggy, I'm not stupid. I know you're messing around on me." I watched as another tear rolled down her cheek.
"I'm not cheating, Y/N."
"Then, what is it?! Please tell me. I need to know what is keeping you out all night and making you come home in the morning." she started getting loud.
"I can't tell you."
"And why is that?!"
"I just can't, right now! Ard." I tried to walk away.
"No! You're not gonna walk away from this! Your ass is gonna tell me where you were and why you were there!"
"Why do I need to explain myself?!"
"Need I remind you I'm your fucking wife?!" she said pushing my shoulder back. "Tell me!"
"Aright! You want to know?! You want to fucking know?! I've been with Marie!"
"Your ex?! What the fuck were you doing with her?!"
"I wasn't technically with her...I was with my kids."
There was an awkward, dead silence.
"Your kids...?" I could hear her voice crack. She kept her eyes down.
"I have two. They're both boys. One is seven and the other is five. That's wh-" she cut me off.
"Wait a minute...we've been together for six years. You're telling me, you fucked that bitch and got her pregnant while we were together!" she yelled, "I can't even believe this shit!"
"Baby, please..."
"Please what?! You cheated on me, Diggy. You have an entire family. And you somehow thought it'd be okay for you to keep that from me?! How can you expect me to stay with you? There are too many secrets being kept from me. I can't be here."
"Y/N listen to me." I tried to pull her close and let her know I'm sorry, but she pushed me away. I watched her run upstairs.
I went after her. I stood at the doorway and watched her pull her clothes and suitcases from the closet.
"Y/N don't do this." I begged.
She didn't respond she just angrily threw her belongings into her suitcase.
"Y/N I'm sorry. I shouldn't have kept this from you. Please don't go. I love you." I said just as she finished packing.
"Yeah..." she stalked towards me, "I thought you loved me too." She roughly pulled off her wedding ring and placed it in the palm of my hand. She gave me a pitiful glare and walked past me to the front door. I jogged after her. I need to do something to make her stay, anything.
She stopped, her hand shakily hovered over the doorknob. I was standing on the last stair, staring at her figure that was turned away from me. She turned to me.
"I'm staying with my mom. I need a lot of time to think about whether this marriage is worth the fight. Until then, this is goodbye." She finally opened the door, but yet again stopped and looked me in my eyes. "Oh, and uh...Happy Father's Day." she threw something at my chest and it fell to my feet. She rushed out of the door and walked to her car. I heard her car speed off down the street. I flopped down against the stairs and dropped my head into my hands. How could I be so foolish? So stupid? I shouldn't have kept this from her. I blinked away the tears that threatened to fall from my eyes. When my vision cleared a little, I looked towards me feet with tears still lingering in my eyes and saw that what she threw at me was a pregnancy test.
It was positive.
