Y/N P.O.V
I've finally done it. It took nine months, 16 days, 8 hours and 55 minutes for me to finish the mission. The moment I had retrieved what I came for, I contacted the council and let them know that I needed a jet back home immediately. They were proud to say the least. Nakia had also informed them of her success in South Korea. I'm so anxious to be reunited with my bff again. I missed my family, my friends, my bed, Wakandan food. Gosh!
I can not stand America. It's architecture is so bland and boring. Their food is greasy and unhealthy. And is smells like a dirty dog every where I go.
I can't wait another minute for the jet to arrive and fly me back to Africa. I especially can't wait to be in the arms of T'Challa. We've talked on our Kimoyo beads nearly every night, but it just didn't compare to seeing him in person and smelling his sweet cologne.
As I thought about him, my beads began to glow a bright purple. I was receiving a call from council.
I twisted the bead quickly on my wrist and the vibranium trapped inside levitated to assume the form of King T'Chaka's face.
"Y/N," he nodded his head in a bowing motion.
"My king," I replied, also bowing my head.
"We are so happy to hear about your success in America. We want to get those documents and files right away. So, we sent Okoye to your apartment. She should be there in a few hours to retrieve you and bring you home." he smiled.
"Thank you, my king," I said excitedly.
"No, thank you Y/N. When you get back, a proper congratulations is in order. But for now, you need to begin packing up your belongings for your trip. We will see you soon."
"Of course, King T'Chaka! Wakanda forever." I said saluting to him. He replied with our country's saying and then ended the call. I jumped around happily in the room, like an idiot.
"I have to start packing!" I interrupted my celebration and began going around my apartment to throw my belongings in my suitcase.
In my rushed movements, my doorbell rang. I stopped and quickly ran to the door. I looked through the peephole and grinned. It was my friendly neighbor.
I cleared my throat and whispered a few words to myself to prep my American accent.
I opened the door and there he was, smiling as usual.
"Erik! Hey, boo!" I smiled. I pulled him in for a quick hug and invited him in. I had met Erik on the first day I had moved in. He had brought me a welcoming gift and introduced himself. He told me about his time as a current MIT student and we just clicked. He lives a floor down.
