So, I wrote some lyrics to for this imagine. It's to the tune of I Don't by Mariah Carey. The instrumental is in the media, but o suggest listening to the actual song if you want to learn the flow a little better.

You stepped out of the shiny, black Escalade, escorted by your security guard. It was time to head to the studio and record a song for your upcoming album. As of late, you haven't been very inspired. Your heart and mind is elsewhere instead of where it needs to be, in your music. All the time you could be spending writing new content and music is being wasted on wondering when and where your lover is spending his time. Something is telling you that Kofi has been seeing his ex. The suspicion arose months ago when you were on tour.

All the signs were there. Eventually, two and two came together to make six because you had more than enough proof to show he was dishonest and cheating.

It's hard to write with a broken everything and this isn't the first time the man you love more than the sun, the moon, and all the oceans combined has hurt you. You've almost reached your breaking point with him and his antics.

Everyone told you this was what to expect with Kofi though. What good will come out of a relationship with a handsome male rapper who has been dominating the game since he released
his first SoundCloud track, "Money, My Drug"? Everybody and their momma knows that all men in the industry cheat. Women and groupies stay throwing coochie at them and vying to lay in bed with them. You thought Kofi was different though. Even with the world in his hand you never could imagine him being so pompous enough to cheat on you, a woman he's said he loves on several occasions. Plus, you were America's sweetheart. You knew no man would be dumb enough to break your heart unless they were trying to commit social suicide.

When y'all first met, he didn't come at you like any other dude would. He was genuinely sweet, charming, honest, and funny. There was nothing to not like about him. You heard nothing bad about him in the news. In fact the only news about him at the time was about his breakup with his ex girlfriend, Duckie.

Everything was the definition of perfect in the beginning, too. The sex, the attention, he even planned his schedule around yours. Y'all were everyone's favorite couple. You were featured on every magazine cover, talk show, music event, club appearance, etc.

However, things are falling apart at the seams. His ex seems to be slithering her way back into his life, along with other women. Because of his infidelity, your heart is barely in it now. But whatever has got you holding onto him by a string is one damn good reason.

You walked through the studio doors and found your production crew and long time co-writer waiting for you. You mustered up a huge smile,

"Hey, y'all! Sorry I'm late," you apologize, "L.A. traffic..."

"It's alright beautiful!" Kenneth, the best songwriter in the world spoke.

You gave everyone in the room a proper hug and took a seat next to your producer, Mac, at the sound board.

"I got this new beat I've been working on I want you to give it a listen and brainstorm a bit. Whatever vibe you get from it we'll roll with it," Mac explained.

"Alright," you watched his fingers dabble with the widgets and buttons on the sound board until a melodic remix of "Where I Wanna Be" blared over the speakers.

Immediately, you became inspired by the blended hip-hop and R&B melody. It touched you. Especially being a fan of the song that's sampled, you knew the meaning was about heartbreak and love being hard. It reminded you of Kofi and all your going through with him.

When the track ended, Kenneth explained to you that he'd whipped something up, hoping you'd collaborate and add you're own artistic touch per usual.
