Chapter 9

A New Target

Ahsoka entered the atmosphere from Coruscant. She has to get back to her master to present the lightsaber. She entered hyperspace and shortly after, she entered the atmosphere of Mustafar. She wondered why her master was on such a dangerous planet, she landed and ran to her masters location. The blistering heat from the planets' surface, was enough to make Ahsoka pass out. She approached a door and opened it, she entered a control room and saw Anakin sitting on the edge of the table. She bowed immediately, Anakin looked at Ahsoka. "Where is Satele's lightsaber?," asked Anakin. Ahsoka took the saber out of her hilt and Anakin took it. "Excellent, my apprentice," said Anakin with evil in his voice. "You're next target may be more of a match for you," said Anakin. "No one is a match for me my master," said Ahsoka with confidence. Anakin smiled slightly with pride and said to Ahsoka, "You're next target is my old master, Obi-Wan Kenobi,". Ahsoka immediately jolted up in shock, she couldn't believe he would order her to destroy his former master. "B-but master, he's you're teacher," Ahsoka protested. "He 'was' my teacher Snips, he's on his way here," said Anakin irritated. "How do you know that?," asked Ahsoka. Anakin looked up at the red, fiery sky and said, "I feel his presence,". A ship appeared out of the sky, and it was a ship Anakin was all too familiar with. It was the Naboo ship, and suddenly Padme, Anakin's wife came rushing out. She hugged Anakin and looked at him worried. Ahsoka drew back into the shadows, and sat on the top of the control room roof. "I heard there was an attack on the Temple, I saw the smoke from our home," Padme said caressing Anakin's cheek. "I'm fine, I'm fine," said Anakin. "Obi-Wan has told me terrible things," said Padme sadly. "What things?," asked Anakin. "That you turned to the dark side, that you killed younglings," said Padme in shock. Anakin kept his calm and said, "Obi-Wan is trying to turn you against me,". The conversation took a turn for the worst when Anakin saw Obi-Wan standing at the open door of the ship. He lost his temper, and looked at Padme in anger. "Liar!," he shouted at her. Obi-Wan walked down towards him, and Ahsoka was reaching for her lightsabers. "You're with him, you brought him here to kill me!," shouted Anakin using the force to choke her. "Let her go Anakin!," shouted Obi-Wan. Padme felt the life draining out of her and any hope for her fallen husband. He finally let go of her, and she collapsed onto the floor. Ahsoka looked and smiled at the result. Obi-Wan and Anakin were exchanging words and walking around each other. "I have brought peace, freedom, justice and security to my new Empire," shouted Anakin. Ahsoka felt anger surge through her, she brought peace by destroying Satele. Obi-Wan ignited his lightsaber, and Anakin ignited his. Ahsoka couldn't take waiting anymore and jumped from the roof to catch Obi-Wan's strike. He was shocked to see that Ahsoka had also fallen to the dark side. "Ahsoka, why?!", yelled Obi-Wan. "The Jedi stand in the way of peace for my masters empire," said Ahsoka. Obi-Wan pushed her with the force, and got into a defensive stance. "You're reign of terror ends here, Ahsoka and Anakin!," shouted Obi-Wan. "This is the part where the student kills the master!," Ahsoka said in anger.
