Chapter 13

In Control

After her encounter with a vision of herself, Xina thought it was time to put her plan into action. She walked towards her ship, thinking up her plan. She entered her starship, and flew into the atmosphere going back to her master. She locked onto her masters star fighter, and to her surprise it was on Utapau. She began to think why her master would be on that planet. Xina entered the coordinates for the planet, and jumped to light speed. It was a matter of minutes before she exited light speed, and entered the atmosphere. She saw her master Darth Vader waiting for her by his ship. She landed by him, and walked towards him. His back was turned to her, and was staring at the sky above. "I sense a great deal of change in you, my apprentice," said Darth Vader. Xina looked at Vader perplexed at this statement. "What do you mean, master?," asked Xina. Darth Vader turned around, and walked towards her. "You've gotten more powerful, I sense it," said Vader. Xina looked into the black eyes of his master's mask. "What, are you afraid master?," asked Xina tauntingly. Vader used the force to begin choking her, and lifted her up off the ground. "Don't you dare defy me!," yelled Vader in anger. Xina was suffocating by her masters grip, and needed to get out of it fast. She began to reach for her sabers, but Vader saw this and let her go. "Then I'll grant you you're wish," said Vader. He walked around Xina and activated his lightsaber. This was her chance, to be free of Vader's grasp and rule the galaxy on her own. She used the force to grab her lightsabers from her waist, and activated them. "I knew you would betray me, it was only a matter of time," said Darth Vader with pity. Xina wasn't fazed by his words, she knew what she was doing. She smiled at Vader with that sadistic nature she had. "Unlike you master, I have big plans in motion," said Xina. Darth Vader attacked Xina with an overhead slash, and she blocked it with ease. He spun around her and slashed at her side, and she blocked it. She used her superior agility to jump over Vader, and kick him across his mask. Vader felt pain with the kick, which angered him. Xina saw his eyes glow yellow in his mask. He walked towards her in a fast motion, and punched her across the face. The force of the punch was so strong, she flew into her star fighter. The impact destroyed her engine of her star fighter, and she got up. "Not bad master, you've gotten stronger too I see," said Xina wiping blood off her lip. Vader's breathing began to increase in his respirator, and he attacked Xina with a slash towards her throat. She bent her back, and dodged it perfectly. She countered with a kick to his chest, which made him move back a few feet. She jumped into the air and clashed sabers with him. He began to push towards her, and she was moving back at an alarming rate. She focused herself in the dark side and began to push back. This surprised Vader to a degree, his cybernetics added more strength. Xina was becoming immersed in the dark side, which renders his cybernetic strength useless. She pushed him back towards the cliff ledge, and Vader kicked her in the ribs. She backed off proceeding to cough blood onto the floor. She felt that her ribs were broken, and had to finish this duel fast. She picked herself back up, and walked towards Vader with an intent to kill him. She jumped and landed a kick on his chest plate, which crushed it. Vader began to have trouble breathing at this point. She saw another opening and sliced up his mask, Vader screamed in pain. He was on one knee breathing very rapidly, and Xina limped towards Vader to deliver the final blow. She suddenly heard a raspy voice call her name. She looked around and saw a hooded figure watching from the sidelines. "Good, good, you're hate has made you strong," said the hooded figure. He looked up at her, his face was very old, he had Sith yellow eyes and was extremely strong in the dark side. Darth Vader's master, Emperor Palpatine was watching her fight him. She began to feel extremely afraid just by looking at him. "Lord Vader is weak, broken, a shadow of his formal self, kill him and take his place at my side," said the Emperor. She looked at Vader and he looked up at her. She finally saw Vader's face, albeit partially from the chunk she cut off. She sensed the suffering he endured, and began to feel sorry for Vader. Palpatine walked behind her and waited for her to finish him. "Kill him and you'll become more powerful than you can imagine, I can teach you the secrets of the dark side," whispered Palpatine. "Everything you've ever wanted, power to destroy, to cleanse the very existence of the Jedi," said Palpatine. Xina became conflicted and raised her saber higher, Vader breathing slowed down. "All the power you'll ever need, and this scum is all that stands in you're way, finish him and we can rule the galaxy together," said Palpatine. Xina finally made her decision and sliced down on Vader's neck, decapitating him and blood splattered onto the floor. Palpatine began to laugh sadistically, and looked at Xina. "Come with me, we will continue you're training," said Palpatine. "Yes, my master," said Xina. She began to walk towards Vader's ship and looked at his remains. "I'm sorry Skyguy, but I'm in control now,".

Xina is now Palpatine's apprentice?! Her vision stated that if she strikes Vader down, she will live a life of suffering. Or will she?.....
