A few days after Dr. Forman hailed, we finally could leave Medical. We all rushed out when we found out. We were getting bored staying in Medical all day.
Once we left Medical, we didn't know where to go. I suggested we go to the Rec. Room.
Everyone agreed and once we got there, we didn't know what to do again. We all sat down, twiddling our thumbs.
Emilee, after about five minutes, got up and walked around. She stopped in front of us and smirked.
Emilee, who had black, curly hair and brown eyes, changed into a man with dirty blond hair and darker brown eyes. We all stared at her, shocked. Emilee had just changed into Ryan. She changed again to a man with brown, disheveled hair and light green eyes.
Simon.
She changed back to herself, chuckled, and sat back down. Nathanael caught onto what he was doing and started floating. He did flips and spins in the air like it was nothing. After a minute, he sat down on (or floated back to) the ground.
Alexander jumped up and was on the opposite side of the room in a second. He then disappeared out of thin air and reappeared back at his spot another second later.
Mason got up and walked through the table in front of him. Then he stood in the middle of it. He looked down through the table and picked up an old, beat up communicator. Mason sat back down at he seat, satisfied with himself.
Claire stood up but then sat back down. Everyone already knew what she could do.
I was up next. They already knew about two of my powers (reading thoughts and communicating through the minds). Mason left the communicator on the table and I lifted it up into the air with a wave of my hand. I then tossed it to Claire and told her to throw it. She did and I caught it almost as soon as it left her hand. I asked Mason to hide and I would find him based off of his vibrations. He hid and I found him in the couch.
I sat back down and we all looked at each other. We all burst out laughing, something we didn't really do.
"That was great!" Shouted Alexander.
Everyone stopped and looked at him. We never talked out loud before and he was the first to do so.
"Yeah it was!" Agreed Nathanael.
"Yeah!" Shouted Emilee.
"100%!" Mason yelled.
"Yay!" Jumped Claire.
Everyone looked at me, waiting for me to speak. "I've never had so much fun!" I yelled.
It felt good to speak after years of deafening silence, even if our voices were a little scratchy from not talking for, well, as long as we can remember.
We all jumped and laughed for hours until Ryan, Ty, and Harriet came into the Rec. Room. They were discussing something important due to the hushed, hurried tones.
Once they saw us, though, they put on smiles and asked how we were doing, not expecting an answer."Good," we all said. They jumped and we laughed.
"You're talking now?" Ryan asked. "That's great!"
We all nodded, happy we made him proud.
"Sorry to ruin your fun," Harriet started. "But you're needed back in Medical."
Somewhat reluctantly, we went back to Medical, talking and laughing the whole way.
