I opened my eyes slowly. My vision was clouded with black spots. I blinked wearily, trying to focus on my surroundings.

I was still in the tent where I blacked out. People were moving around the room and typing on computers. I sat up slowly, but stopped short when a sharp pulse of pain went through my head. The events of what happened caught up to me then. I jumped off the bed, ignoring the pain in my head and tried to run for the door. Jake caught me though and brought me back to the bed.

"Did you take my powers?" I slurred, breathing heavily. My vision went black when I ran and my head felt like I had be stabbed, punched, and shot all at once.

Jake didn't answer but Dr. Forman came in then. I tried to see if I could use any of my powers, but came up blank. My eyes widened and I fell back on to the bed.

My powers were gone.

"Oh, don't be so sad. You still have your powers," Dr. Forman said. I perked up. "I only took the chip in your head out. That's why you have that nasty cut."

My hands flew to my head and I sat up. My vision went black, but I didn't care. I felt around my head and found a cut running from the middle of my forehead to my left temple. It was stitched but had no bandage.

"Why didn't you take my powers like you said you would?" I asked.

"Because I could use you," Dr. Forman said. "I won't be using the others. But you, well, I always knew you were special."

"You could use me for what?"

"My mutant army." He smile at me. "How would you like to be my general?"
