Ryan and his men ran out of their hiding spots and rushed at Dr. Forman's men, whom were very shocked at first but soon regained their composure. They attacked, pulling out guns or just fighting with their fist.
I turned around and motioned for the others to follow me. Claire grabbed onto my hand and looked up at me. Her eyes screamed terror. I looked over at the others. They were scared as well. But unlike them, I wasn't scared. I gave them a smile. "Don't worry." I reassured. "I won't let anything happen to you."
They nodded and I led them around the fighting, paying close attention to the vibrations. Anytime one of Dr. Forman's men came close to us, I would break something of fling them across the camp.
By the time we had reached the other side of the camp, the Galaxy crew was winning by a long shot. I had turned to face the fight and help where and when I could.
A guy was coming up behind Johnny with a big stick raised. I ripped the stick out of the guy's hands and with a flick of my wrist, I smacked it across his head. Johnny turned around and saw the guy fall and looked at me. He gave me a smile and thought, 'Thanks.' before going back to fighting.
After about another five Minnie's, there was only about seven of Dr. Forman's men standing. They had surrendered and Ryan had some men tie them up.
I looked behind me at the kids and their eyes glinted with hope. I gave them a big smile. We had done it.
"Reagan!" Harriet shouted. I turned around and she was pointing at the shuttle. I followed her gaze and gasped.
Dr. Forman was standing by the shuttle, Jake next to him. Dr. Forman was holding an all too familiar device. On the screen were four green dots in a line. And his thumb was in the red button.
My mind shut down. I didn't think, I only ran at Dr. Forman. I didn't even think to have flung the device out of his hand. Jake and Dr. Forman had gotten on the shuttle and right before the doors closed, he pushed the button. I stopped in my tracks and the shuttle lifted off the ground. I whipped around. Their heads snapped up and they fell to the ground.
Everything seemed to be going in slow motion. I heard someone screaming 'no.' I wasn't until after their bodies hit the ground like dead weights did I realize I was the one screaming.
Emilee, Claire, Mason, and Alexander all died in front of me.
