I was woken by a loud beeping. I looked at the clock and slugged out of bed and dragged myself to the bathroom. Once in the shower I was awake and alert. I suddenly remembered what happened last night. Miranda, the ghost, she was here. She told me to talk to my brother because he had all the answers. I was going to do more than talk, I was going to find him and get the answers out of him. Only problem was that was he was at college and I was stuck here. There had to be a way to make him crack. I got out of the shower and got dressed and noticed Dad had left. I started to panic. Who was going to drive me to school? I mean Jamie would drive me every morning that my dad left early, but Jamie needs his space. Mom never gets up and she wouldn’t be up in time to get me to school on time. I looked for my cell phone and realized mom never gave it back to me. I looked at the clock. Darn! The bus has already passed my house, I thought. I raced up the stairs and woke mom up.

"What? What? What's going on?"

"I need my phone! Dad left and I have no ride to school." Mom opened her side drawer and handed me my phone.

I raced down the stairs and texted Jamie that I needed a ride. The minute I hit sent I remembered he wanted space. I looked through my contacts and was disappointed. I only had Jamie, Family, and friends in my old neighborhood. Jamie texted back

Sry, can't. Already @ skool. -Jamie

Of course! Just my luck! I had a thought. I went on my computer and looked up Landon's social network page. Bingo! I found his number. I immediately dialed it.

"Hello?"

"Landon! It's Poppy, are you at school?"

"No, I am just about to get in my car."

"Can you come pick me up and take me to school?" I asked apprehensively.

"Sure! I'll be there in ten." Landon said hanging up.

I packed my bag and grabbed a croissant and stuffed it down. I looked out the window and saw Landon pull in. I grabbed my bag and sped to the door. I got in the car and thanked Landon immediately.

"No problem, really I mean your house is on the way to school."

"Thank you anyways. If you didn’t pick me up I wouldn’t have had a ride to school." I said.

"Right, I heard you still didn’t have your license."

"Who from?" I asked curiously.

"Oh no one really. I actually don't remember. Anyways, feeling better?"

"Much better."

"Batman is the best cure." Landon said jokingly. I laughed. We arrived in the parking lot and I bent down to grab my bag and was about to open the door when I saw Jamie pull up next to us. That liar! I opened the door and marched up to his door and tried opening it. Jamie had locked the doors. I banged on his door yelling at him to open the door. Landon grabbed me and pulled me away so Jamie could get out.

"Poppy calm down." Landon said.

"Liar! You lied! Why? What did I do Jamie? Or better yet what did my brother say to you huh?" I said. Jamie froze. He got out of the car and faced me.

"Poppy, you need to calm down like Landon said. I told you that conversation was nothing. I don't want to hurt you okay? I just need space."

"Bullshit! Stop it! If you needed space you would still say hi to me or talk to me even if its small talk! But no, you are avoiding and ignoring me! Why?"

"Poppy you are just being over sensitive. That isn’t how it is." Jamie said about to walk away.

"Don't you dare walk away from me!" I yelled at Jamie. Landon still had a tight hold on me.
