"Salut mes amis." Said Thomas as he walked through the door that kept Stephen and I locked in the room. "We are landing in the port of London ce matin so I would suggest you both get ready."
Stephen mumbled incoherent words and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "You do realize we have absolutely no clue whatsoever as to what you are saying when you speak French right?" Growled Stephen with a hint of morning voice.
Thomas laughed. 'Glad to see he's in a good mood.' I thought to myself in a sarcastic manner.
"Why do you think I speak French around you Stephen?"
He walked over to him and kicked him lightly in the stomach making Stephen groan tiredly. "Come on! Get up you oaf! Or would you rather stay down here with the rats until we land?"
That got Stephen up right away and he ran over to me. "Let's go Alexa! I haven't seen the sun in nearly four weeks. I look as pale as a swan!"
I laughed as he grabbed my arm and pulled me off the ground. "Alright, I'm coming!" I exclaimed as he ran past Thomas and out the door dragging me all the way to the top deck.
"Wow." I whisper into the wind. "I've never seen anything more beautiful."
Stephen turns to look at me. "Neither have I." He says with a hint of a smile.
Thomas walked over to us and slapped a hand on Stephen's shoulder making him stiffen.
"Juste vous admettre comme son, nous savons tous que vous faites." He chuckled.
My eyes widen in realization. 'Did he really just say...that?'
Stephen looked between Thomas and me with a puzzled expression.
Thomas laughed even louder when he saw my facial expression. "You-you understood me did-didn't you Alexandra?" He gasped out clutching his stomach.
"Will someone please tell me what's going on here? Alexa?" Exclaimed Stephen shaking my shoulders.
"What? Oh, it was...nothing worth repeating." I muttered my cheeks turning a dark shade of crimson.
Thomas wrapped an arm around my shoulders and began pulling me towards the front of the ship.
"I'll tell you later mate." He yelled over his shoulder emphasizing the t in mate.
Looked back apologetically at Stephen. He had his arms crossed and an eyebrow perfectly arched.
"It's nothing." I mouthed to him.
Lie.
He sighed and walked over to one of the sailors to talk.
"So you speak French now?" Questioned Thomas as he gave my shoulder a squeeze.
I don't know why he's being so nice to me but it's making me nervous. "My mother was French before she joined our clan." I muttered.
"I see." He stopped us at the very front of the ship. My eyes traveled down to the water below us and for the first time since I was locked away on the ship I felt like I was going to throw up.
I closed my eyes taking a deep breath and clutched Thomas' bicep in both of my tiny hands for dear life.
Thomas chuckled and moved me away from the railing. "Well that wasn't very smart of you Alexandra." He whispered. I nodded my head slightly in agreement.
