Chapter 8
Echo's POV
Light streamed through the massive windows causing me to groan and sit up while rubbing my eyes. I looked around the room and sighed, still in Italy. I smiled softly and got out of the bed, and made it slightly. I made my way into the bathroom and did the normal routine, then headed down to the library. Vincenzo can't keep me out of here, so hah.
I happily took a seat on the cushions at the massive bay window that over looked the garden and began to read a random book that I grabbed. The clock read that it was around eight in the morning, so I had a bit of time to read before all of my friends get up.
"I thought I said stay out of the library." A voice caused me to jump and look up. I rolled my eyes and glared at him.
"I thought I said get over it." I sassed back and he sat down in front of me and brought his legs up and crossed them too.
"You're obnoxious." He said and I smiled.
"Only because in a few months you won't ever have to see me again." I looked back down at the book and he went silent. We sat there for a few minutes until he spoke.
"About what you said last night. Me liking men.." He trailed off quietly.
"It's obvious to a person who's known someone like that pretty much their entire teen life. I won't say anything, but I might try to hook you both up." I laughed and he had a smile on his face.
"One of your friends?" He said making a face and I snorted.
"He's the oldest, about your age." I said and he nodded.
"This doesn't make us friends." He said leaning back and I did the same.
"I never said we were." I said acting annoyed, I really was kind of happy he wasn't hating me anymore. He nodded quietly.
"Breakfast is being served." He said and I laughed at his awkwardness.
"I'm not hungry." I said and he scoffed.
"Pain in the ass." He mumbled. A voice made us both jump and turn to the door.
