Echo's POV
"Wake up." The curtains were pulled back, and I was forced awake by some man. Groaning, I looked over and saw that it was Nathan. He smiled at me, and it was nice to see him doing better than before. He seemed distraught, today he seemed happy.
"What's got you in a good mood?" Standing up, I watched as he made his way to the door.
"You'll be protected sufficiently for once." His words confused me. Coming to realization I was about to be kidnapped, I looked around. Both men were gone, no trace of them. "Breakfast is downstairs waiting for you." He dismissed himself, and I got ready in the clothes that were set out for me.
After I stepped out of the shower, I wrapped my wounds and taped bandages. I slid on the matching underwear, jeans, shirt, and sweatshirt. Then I slid on the Birkenstocks and headed downstairs. As I entered the dining room, I pulled my hair out of the sweatshirt and took my seat. Everyone was sitting, waiting.
"Morning." Gulia smiled, sipping coffee.
"Morning." A plate with open faced breakfast sandwiches, a side of pastries, and some bread was set in front of me. It smelled delicious, and looked delicious too.
We all dug in, and I listened to the small talk between Marco and Gulia, then Vinny and Clara. It was nice and calm, all until the fucking Dark Prince walked in.
"Couldn't at least wait until I was done eating." I groaned in irritation. Sebastian sent me a glare. "We're playing this game, seriously?" He looked to Leo who hasn't even looked at me yet.
"When you're finished." His words meant now. Gulia sent me a look of worry. She knew what I wanted to do and say, but I didn't.
Once I was full, I made my way to the gardens. Nathan stood guard along with several others. The breeze was nice, the smell of the flowers was wonderful. The view was so much more stunning than words could describe. It seemed like minutes had passed when someone snuck up on me, almost receiving a punch.
"You know, you're being taken from here today." Sebastian's voice irritated me immediately.
"Shut up." I said with growing anger. He grabbed my arm, spinning me to face him. He was too close for my liking.
"Do as he says Little Girl. We don't need anymore trouble or drama because of you." His words bit at my patience. Anger took hold of my judgement and I shoved him as hard as I could. He fell into the fountain, drenching him head to toe. A laugh was let from my lips, his angry face sent a shiver through my body. The growl that ripped through his throat struck fear in me. "You are so dead." He climbed from the fountain, and I took off towards the house. When I came through the back door, I sprinted through the kitchen and into Marco's office where I knew people were. When I entered, Leo was listening to Marco and Vinny speaking.
