Chapter 20
Echo's POV
When we got back to the house I was shocked to find all of the people I came here with were sent home. I watched Vinny and he seemed to be fine with the fact Gannon was gone.
"They betrayed you, meaning they betrayed us. I have no problem getting rid of a nuisance." He told me and I nodded.
"I'm going to be in the library for a bit." I said and slipped into sweats and decided to start reading again. I was reading through romance novels, ones with witches and werewolves, and journals from well known explorers.
It was later and the sun was going down. I sat at the bay window reading quietly. I stopped and looked at the bracelets. Setting them down I twisted the ring in my fingers while looking out the window.
Should I accept this? Leo and I don't know each other the best, but I can't get over this feeling I have. I'm being told I should follow through with this but...should I?
Sighing I decided to head to bed. Some sleep will do me good.

The sound of my door opening woke me slightly, then when the curtains were drawn and light came streaming into the room causing me to bury my face in the pillow caused whoever it was to laugh, but I heard more than one, and they were female laughs.
"Wake up Echo. It's past noon. We still have to go shopping, and get some food." It was Morgan's voice. I huffed and sat up rubbing my eyes.
"A little bit longer." I whined and I was pulled from the bed.
After showering and getting ready I started to pull my clothes on. I was in grey joggers, and a black hoodie, along with some beat up black Converse. I had my hair in a braid that went over my left shoulder.
I was soon in the car with the girls and we were heading to the restaurant. Once there were were escorted to the spot we sat at yesterday. I was confused when the boys walked in, in suits. They looked tired and annoyed.
"How did it go?" Clara asked as she sipped her drink.
"I hate meetings." Vinny grumbled.
