Camila was about to bend over and check on the cake, when she felt Lauren slap her ass. She spun around staring at Lauren, who's hand was covered in flour and once Camila felt her bottom she could feel the flour. Lauren's face was plastered with a wide smirk as Camila grabbed a handful of flour and threw it at Lauren, giggling crazily. She wasn't impressed. This is when world war 3 broke out. Lauren refilled her hand with flour, so did Camila, as they both attacked each other with the white powder. As Lauren reloaded her hand with flour she felt a cold, gooey, slimy liquid run down her hair, trickling down her face. Lauren turned around seeing guilty Camila standing there with a grin peeled over her face, feeling her proper revenge. Lauren searched the counter for a worse substance and grabbed a chunk of butter, chasing Camila and wiping through her hair and then across her cheek. Camila gasped at the touch off the cold butter on her face as she grabbed two more eggs, launching them across the kitchen landing them on Lauren's chest and lower body. The eggs trickled down her body as Lauren ran after her around the kitchen island. Camila slipped over on the splattered egg remains on the floor and tumbled on to her back. Lauren fell right on top of her not being able to stop herself in time and the two girls burst into stitches of uncontrollable laughter. Camila was sat with her legs in a 'v' shape with her hands behind propping her up straight. Lauren was sat on top of legs in between the human's tanned legs as they both gazed at each other. Camila's eyes fluttered from Lauren's dark lips to her green mesmerising eyes, whilst Lauren's eyes were locked on Camila's red, plum lips. Lauren leaned forward towards the smaller human, eliminating the space between them.

"I think I should... check on the cake." Camila backed away from Lauren awkwardly, walking over to the oven removing the golden cake.

Lauren was caught off guard by this as she stood up after Camila, sitting on the counter disappointedly. Lauren had no idea what caused her to even try to kiss Camila and she knew that Camila didn't clearly return, whatever feelings Lauren thought she had.

"I'm going to take a shower." Lauren sighed unnoticeably looking down at her egg soaked shirt and seeing Camila nod confirming she had heard Lauren.

She heard the footsteps continue upstairs, then the sound of one of the bathrooms shut. Camila fanned hers face off with her hands, trying to cool herself down from the bright red blush over her cheeks. She cursed under her breath at what she had done, maybe Camila was just scared off falling in love with a monster. She pinched the bridge of her nose, sighed heavily and deciding to forget what had happened. Camila was good at that, whenever she was faced with unsolvable problem she'd just forget about it. It was a blessing and curse. She sat the cake on the side, by the window letting it settle down. She strolled upstairs, not being able to forget about this situation as easily as she thought, and entered her bedroom. She ran her hand through her butter-covered hair and tugged on her flour-covered t-shirt then, laughed quietly remembering the recent food fight. It was the most fun she'd had since she got here.

She opened her bathroom door, which was the suite bathroom in her room and saw Lauren standing there in only her underwear, with her back facing towards Camila. Her dark, wet hair cascaded down her damp back stopping above her underwear and once Lauren turned around she had spotted Camila. Camila's eyes flustered from Lauren's eyes to her chest, then back and forth. Lauren scrambled to the floor grabbing a towel and covering her chest, glaring at Camila.

"Camila, what the hell are you doing get out?!" Lauren snapped, staring at her wide eyed and holding the towel around her body tightly.

"I-- it's just-- I-- th-this is my bathroom." Camila stuttered her complete sentence, not even being able to speak properly as she was so stunted by Lauren's half naked body.

"Oh, this was the only one with shampoo and other essentials." Lauren looked around the bathroom awkwardly avoiding eye contact with Camila as she moved passed Camila letting her have the bathroom, clenching the towel around her embarrassingly.

Camila stood in her bathroom for a few moments realising what she had just seen. It all happened so quickly, that she didn't even have time to apologise and she was still shocked by Lauren's curvy figure, which made Camila weak in the knees. She shook her head slightly shaking the images of Lauren's beautiful body out of her mind and removed her clothes turning on the shower. Camila sighed peacefully feeling the warm water run through her gross, dirty hair as she felt the warm water drench her body.

Meanwhile, Lauren had evacuated upstairs to her attic room. She could still feel her dark blush burning up her cheeks and she could still see Camila's reaction to her body. Lauren smirked slightly remembering the humans stunted face, looking like a deer in the headlights off a oncoming truck. The way Camila could barely speak after it made Lauren feel powerful and a lot more confident about herself. When it came to her body, she the most confident person and the fact Camila had basically see the majority of her body she felt almost ashamed. Again, Camila's reaction filled Lauren up with a lot of self-esteem.

Lauren combed through her thick, black hair letting it natural dry over the night and she put on some pyjama shorts with a ragged t-shirt.

Lauren perked her ears once she heard quiet squeaking as she followed the high pitched noises. She listened closely, sniffing the air like a blood thirsty animal and climbed to the rafts of the roof. She sat on top of the wooden planks that held up the inner roof. She tip toed across the dusty planks and listened carefully again, eventually spotting the victim. Three rats scurried across the wooden planks as Lauren chased after them instantly grabbing all three off them and jumping back down on to the floor. She sat down on her carpet and sunk her fangs into the helpless animal, draining them empty.

As she bite into the last rat, Camila walked into the room and spotted straight away seeing the vampire drinking the blood away from the rat. Camila tried not throwing up as they both made awkwardly eye contact and Lauren removed the rat from her mouth. Camila glanced at the two other dead rats scattered over her floor and she decided to leave Lauren to eat in peace. Once the door shut Lauren finished her rat and sighed annoyingly. She didn't like it when Camila saw Lauren like that. It remembered Lauren that she was a monster and Camila was a human; it was doomed. It remembered her how different they both were and she was worried Camila would... leave. Yeah, she was scared Camila would move somewhere else and forget about her if it got too much for the human.

She chucked the rats out of the window and paced down the stairs, into the kitchen where Camila had started to decorate the cake. Lauren entered slowly startling the zoned out human and sat at the island on one of the stools. Camila hummed slightly spreading the frosting over the cake as Lauren just watched causally.

"Sorry you had to see that." Sighed Lauren, cupping the back off her neck awkwardly and kicked her legs lightly like a child.

"It's fine, I know you've gotta do, what you've gotta do." Camila said simply finishing the cake frosting and deciding to grab the icing and write words into it.

After 5 minutes of perfect writing Lauren furrowed her eyebrows, slowly reading the writing. Happy birthday.

"Who's birthday is it?" Lauren asked in a confused tone as Camila started covering the cake in rainbow sprinkles.

"Mine soon." Camila shrugged as if it wasn't a big deal but Lauren gasped slightly, making Camila look up at the creature. "It's on Halloween."

Lauren nodded. She had a week to get Camila a gift.

Author's note
Btw I know that's not really Camila's birthday, just for the fan fiction ;))
