The four girls had loaded the last bag onto the vehicle and began stepping inside the RV. The outside of the beaten-up mobile home wasn't too appealing and neither was the interior. The windows were shaded, so no one could see in and added to the weird vibe that the vampires already gave off. The vehicle was painted white, which had faded to a dirty cream colour, was chipped and rusted at the sides.
The inside was slightly messy, but Lucy wasn't really excepting any guests. There were two sofas, that were parallel to one another, with used-up, stained cushions on top of them. On one side, there was a tiny kitchen counter and sink, with old cupboards above it. There was no need for a fridge or freezer, considering the only food they needed was blood. The living and kitchen area was all one room, which meant the girls would be spending a lot of time together.
There was only one separate room and that was extremely small to the point it just had a double bed in, that slotted against all three walls. Then, there was a bathroom, with a toilet and shower, not even a sink; it was a tight space.
"I guess... you and Camila can have the double bed and Taylor will crash on the sofa." Lucy decided, turning to Lauren, who had an astonished expression plastered over her face.
"No way, this is your place and I think you adleast deserve the bed." Lauren said firmly, shaking her head to Lucy's offer, whilst Camila was practically staring at Lauren with complete confusion. Was it that Lauren didn't want to share a bed with her? Her... girlfriend? Well not exactly girlfriend but something.
"I insist." Lucy smiled politely. "Besides, I never sleep in there, I always relax on the sofa."
"Are you sure?" Lauren asked hesitantly, feeling the guilt wash over her as she bit her lip.
"Go." Lucy said firmly adding a small chuckle to the end as she pointed to the back the room and Lauren flashed a thankfully smile.
Camila followed the older girl into the bedroom as she dropped her bag besides the bed, then Lauren collapsed onto the thin mattress from complete exhaustion. Camila smiled adorably at Lauren, lately she had been so tense and worked up and it was good to see her finally relaxing. They knew it was just an easy ride from now on.
The brunette crawled on top of Lauren and began leaving trails of short kisses on her smooth, porcelain stomach where her t-shirt had rose. Lauren discretely rolled her eyes and turned over so the smaller girl was off her body. Camila paused for a brief moment in confusion, maybe Lauren just wasn't up for anything. Instead, Camila cuddled up next to her, wrapping her arms around the taller girl's body and nestling her face into the back of Lauren's shoulder. Lauren let a slightly noticeable sigh, before shuffling out of the brunette's embrace and this definitely alerted Camila.
"Okay... what's up?" The smaller girl voiced as she furrowed her brows in more confusion, propping herself on her elbow to look down at half of Lauren's face.
"Nothing."
Camila scoffed.
"Lauren, seriously, what's up?"
"Leave it."
"What have I done?" Camila asked with almost a pleading tone, she hated playing the guessing game.
"God, you really don't know?" Lauren turned back to look at the confused Camila, who shook her head. "Taylor."
"What about her?" Camila questioned, having a slight feeling where this conversation was leading to.
"You've been flirting with her ever since she turned into a vampire." Lauren said as if it obvious, but Camila let out a irritated sigh.
"Lauren, don't be stupid." Camila scoffed, rolling her eyes in complete annoyance.
"Don't be stupid?! Are you fucking kidding me? You've been all over each other." Lauren raised her voice and sat up with Camila, staring the brunette dead in the eyes.
"God, I'm being nice to her because she's shit scared, Lauren, stop being so jealous." Camila defended herself, standing up from the bed in outrage as she ran her hand through her brown locks.
"Being nice? All you want to do is get in her pants."
Silence. Camila was in utter shock that Lauren had said that to her. Lauren saw the tears forming in the brunette's eyes and realised what she had really just said to her.
"Wait, no, Camz, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it--"
"Don't fucking speak to me." Camila stopped her as a tear rolled down her cheek. "Clearly I'm just a fucking whore."
Lauren stepped closer, wiping the water droplet away, but Camila shoved passed her and stormed off to the living room. Lauren rubbed her palms over her face in complete frustration as Camila saw Taylor sobbing quietly into her hands.
"Tay, what's the matter?" Camila quickly changed her mood from outraged to concerned in seconds, before sitting down next to the light haired girl.
Suddenly, Taylor pounced onto Camila and pulled her into a giant hug, crying into the brunette's shoulder. Camila wrapped her in her arms and patted her back gently as she felt her t-shirt dampen. She wondered why Lucy didn't hear Taylor's crying, but when she looked over she could see Lucy had headphones in.
"I'm... sca--scared." She cried, balling Camila's fabric into the palm of her hands as she nuzzling her head into Camila's neck.
"What about?" Camila asked cautiously, but Taylor remained quiet. "If it's about controlling the urge, you'll be fine, because I'll be here."
Taylor shook her head slightly, indicating that wasn't problem as Camila furrowed her eyebrows together trying to think what was up with her.
"Why don't you tell me?" Camila whispered gently, but Taylor still reminded quiet as a mouse, not even debating opening her mouth.
"I can't." Taylor mumbled into Camila's skin, whilst the brunette continued to be confused.
"You know you can tell me anything, any worries or concerns, I'm here." The brown eyed girl smiled, but she could tell she wasn't getting anywhere with Taylor, she was too upset. "Come lets get some rest."
Camila lied back and Taylor nestled on top of her as the brunette pulled the blanket over them. She securely wrapped her arms around the weeping girl, who was just calming down. The brunette rested her head back on the pillow, whilst Taylor placed her head on Camila's chest. The two girls lay there peacefully, drifting off into their 'sleep'.
Lauren bit her lower lip, staring at both of the relaxed girls. Yes, she felt a burn of jealously inside of her because she was the one who wanted to be in Camila's arms, but she didn't deserve it. Not after what she said. She was still in shock. She had basically called Camila a slut, who says that to someone as close to them as Camila. Lauren replayed the words again and again and again, until the words were scarred in her memory forever. She could only wish to go back in time and change ever even thinking to say that. That's thing thing, she didn't even think when she was saying. It just blurted out without thinking of the true meaning and hurt behind it.
She watched Camila before as she consoled the light haired girl and the concern that glinted in her big brown orbs, made Lauren feel complete swooned. It was now so clear how caring Camila truly was. Lauren couldn't believe how quick she was to jump to conclusions. Maybe it was just because the girls were distant lately and she just lashed out. There was no point trying to make excuses up, because she was an idiot with a brain the size of a nut.
She would hundred percent have to make it up to Camila, because she was a jealous vampire.
