"Hunter, for the millionth time, I don't know why she won't join us. Roman and Dean are the only ones she talks to here," I said.
"Seth, there's got to be something that she loves more than those two, more than you," Stephanie replied.
"It's been almost a year since she and I were together, things have changed between us, she wouldn't tell me anyhow."
"Then do a little digging, uncover the truth, find out what she's hiding," Randy said.
"It wouldn't be right to do that to her, I'm still trying to get her to trust me. Let me do this my way, this is the only way we can get her into the Authority."
"You've got three months to get her in or you're done."
"Three months, but that's the night of Wrestlemania," I said.
"Precisely, if you want to be champion by then, you get Dani's secret, her deepest desires," Hunter said.
I nodded, "I'll get it done," I said, heading to my car to get to the hotel. When I got to the door, I pushed it open, my heart sank when I didn't see Dani. Shit, I thought, I went too far tonight. I threw my keys on the nightstand, and went in to take a shower. As I stood there, letting the sweat be washed off, I heard voices in the room. "Roman, don't, just leave it go. I'm not going to join the Authority, not even for him. He's not worth our time. I've got more important things to worry about than him."
"How is she by the way? Keeping mom and dad busy?" I heard Roman ask.
"Not here, he can't know about her."
"You'll have to tell him eventually," Roman said.
"He doesn't deserve to know about her. He destroyed all chances of that when he turned on us."
Turning off the shower, I stepped out, grabbing a towel, and walking into the room. "Oh hey, didn't realize you two were here."
"Asshole," Dani muttered, turning away from me, " We'll talk more later. We've got a lot to talk about."
"By all means, continue your conversation, pretend like I'm not even here like usual," I said, smirking at Dani.
She rolled her eyes, and said to Roman, "I'll see you and Dean in the morning, text me when you're ready to head out. I'll ride with you two home tomorrow."
"Tell lunatic I said hi," I said, waving at Roman, his jaw clenched.
As soon as Roman left, I watched Dani packing her bags, sitting on the bed, folding her stuff. "Look, I'm sorry about earlier."
She continued to pack, ignoring me. Her phone rang, "Hey mom, what's up?"
"Yeah, nows not a good time. Yeah, did Roman tell you? Ok, yeah, I'll see you tomorrow. Yeah, I'm gonna ride with him and Dean. Yeah I know, that's what Roman said too. Dean, oh god mom. Seriously?"
I started packing my bag, watching her face lit up talking to her mom. I wish I could make her smile like that again.
My mind was still on the conversation between her and Roman, someone they don't want me to know about, even though Roman said that I needed to know eventually. I heard Dani say goodbye to her mother, and when she looked up i saw an incredible sadness in her eyes, for a fleeting moment. She glared at me shoving things into her bag, when she finished she went into the bathroom and when she came back out climbed into bed, immediately falling asleep.

The next morning, I was already awake and out grabbing some breakfast for us, figuring I'd try to smooth things over with Dani by bringing her favorite coffee and bagel with me. When I walked into the room, I saw her laughing at Dean, as he pulled her to straddle his lap. As the lips touched, I slammed the door shut. She buried her face into Deans neck, giggling.
"Figures I try to do something nice, and this idiot ruins everything."
"You're the idiot that ruins everything," she replied.
At that moment there was a loud knock, and after pulling the door open, I wished I would've waited a few seconds to slam it in Romans face. He looked between Dani and Dean who were holding hands. He said, "So mom finally convinced you two to start dating huh?"
Dani bounced excitedly, "Yeah, it was about time to move on."
I rolled my eyes, scoffing. "Weakest link of the Shield. Nothing more than a pushover."
"Excuse me," Roman said, "who needs an entourage of people to back him up, when he starts losing his fight. Fight your own battles for once, stop cowering behind has beens and never was."
"And yet, I haven't joined the Authority Rollins, so how am I the pushover? Because the way it looks you sold out your family, and went for the greed."
"At least I don't let big brother fight my battles for me."
"No you just let your snake and demon do it for you. Besides we all know that I could kick your ass any day."
"That's my girl," Dean said, wrapping his arm around my waist, "Oh and bye bye sellout."

I watched as the three of them walked out the door. Thinking, I'll find out who Dani doesn't want me to know about, and I'll take her and those idiots down. She'll join the Authority. Mark my words.
