Dani and I are only a few minutes away from getting married, Jordan wrapped in my arms, as I stood at the altar, waiting for Dani to come down. As the music started, I could see Sika, meaning Dani was just beyond the doors. When I saw her, my breathe hitched, and Roman, who was standing next to me said, "That's my sister you're drooling over."
"Yeah, well she's gonna be my wife, so I'm allowed."
When Dani caught me staring open mouthed at her, she ducked her head, the blush spreading up her cheeks. When her father finally placed her hand in mine, linking her arm through mine, she gripped my hand. "I've never leaving you sweet cheeks," I said, as the pastor began the ceremony. In the blink of an eye, I heard him ask us to recite our vows, and the exchange of our rings, realizing it was time for the one moment I had waited for, that we had been building towards, the moment that I realized that she will always be what's best for me. "If there is anyone who has any reason why these two should not be together, speak now or forever hold your peace," the pastor said, pausing, "if not, then I pronounce the, husband, and wife. You may kiss your bride."
Lifting her veil, cupping her cheeks in my hands, we kissed. I may have been the Architect of the Shield, and what was best for business, but Dani and Jordan both proved to me, why, they are what is best for me.
