Chapter Eleven

Dani sat beside me in catering holding Jordan. She was still furious with Seth, over telling the Authority about Jordan. People were now coming up to her smothering her and Jordan with congratulations. Dean had just come back through the curtain after his match against Seth, cursing about the Authority's interference yet again. He hugged Dani, taking Jordan into his arms. "So, what are we going to do about the Authority?" Dean asked, "Especially that skunk Rollins."
"Punch his damn fucking lights out," Dani said, gritting her teeth.
A worker came up to us, handing Dani a single white rose, with a card and a stuffed rabbit. Jordan grabbed the rabbit, hugging it close. As Dani's eyes welled with fresh tears. Taking the card from her I read it aloud,
Dani, I'm so sorry, I didn't think about what they would try to do to you and Jordan. Please let Jordan keep the rabbit I got for her, if it's the only thing she's ever allowed to have from me. I love you both so very much, and sweet cheeks, I'm ready, willing and able to do whatever it takes to prove to you that I'm a changed man, I promise you'll see very soon that change.

"Shit Dani, I think he's being sincere."
"Damn, I didn't know Rollins had it in him," Dean commented.
"Neither did I," Dani said, looking up and seeing Hunter and Steph approach us.
"What do you two want?" Dani hissed.
"We need to talk to you, in private, in regards to your daughter."
"Fine," She said, taking Jordan from Dean.
As they walked away, I said to Dean, "Dani's joining the Authority, I know she is, and we both know it's for Jordan's sake."
"What about Seth?"
"I have a feeling, that the two of them are going to be on opposite sides again. Unless he stays in the Authority to protect them. We need to find him and let him know."
After a few minutes searching, Dean finally found Seth, dragging him into our locker room. "Dani's joining the Authority. To protect Jordan."
"Dammit, I was leaving the Authority, I was gonna do it tonight, when you guys came out to attack Randy and Kane. I've got to stay in there to protect her and Jordan. One way or another, I'll get them out of there. Even if I lose Dani completely, I've got to keep them safe."
