Jayce: Watch and learn
This vampire and werewolf freakiness is driving me utterly and completely insane. First, JT, Colleen and her family are vampires, then Stephanie and her family are werewolves, and now this Lily chick is one of the undead vampires. I'm just the human caught stupid in the middle huh?
Stephanie is a beautiful creature. That night she turned was the first night I realized how beautiful she was. Her silver, silky coat shone bright under the moon. Her bright blue eyes pierced my soul. Despite her monstrous canines and her ravenous black claws, she was the most amazing creature that ever walked this earth.
I think I can deal with the idea of being with an immortal. I just don't think my parents will handle it. I honestly felt bad about telling Steph that she couldn't meet my parents. At least until we know her parents can deal with the secret of her dating me.
We walked hand in hand down the concrete walkway from Logan's building to the sweet, green courtyard. Stephanie's beautiful olive skin glowed bright in the perfect yellow sun. She actually looked human. Colleen and JT didn't want to enjoy the sun with us. They couldn't. I looked at the large bundle of students with their books between their arms and feather pens fused inside their ponytails. My head spun. So many memories.
"Guys, it's over here!" Colleen's annoying voice screamed over my memory.
Steph pulled me along with her. I could barely hold on to her hand. It amazed me at how much stronger Steph was. For a tiny girl, she was tough. She's perfect for me. I always wanted a girl who was sweet and helpful. I just didn't expect that girl to be a werewolf. Werewolves are not as bad as people say they are. Just don't be around them when they're hungry.
The sun burned at the back of my neck. I was sure I had a serious sunburn by now. We watched while I held on to Steph's soft. burning hand. Colleen kneeled beside the bench, under the shady tree and placed a rosy, well manicured hand on the seat. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Watching her trying to get a vision was like watching paint dry. I looked at Steph and moved her large curls away from her face, revealing olive skin and her round jaw structure. I moved her curls behind her shoulder and played with them. She turned her head, looked into my eyes with her beautful hazels and smiled. I lifted her chin and kissed her lips gently. I loved the way she did that cute little giggle. It made me smile inside.
She looked straight ahead again and released my hand. She made her way toward Colleen and kneeled too. Her knees were deep in the grass and dry dirt. She leaned her face closer to the bench and closed her eyes. Her curls were swaying like waves of orange fire. JT looked over at me from underneath a shaded tree and allowed his rosy skin to make crease lines in his forehead. Seriously, what the hell is his problem? Freaking vampire..
Suddenly, Steph opened her eyes in a quick flash and jumped to my body. She held on to my chest and laid her her head against it. She wasn't breathing normally. She was breathing faster. In a flash, Colleen ran by JT's side, held on to his hand and lowered her head.
"What did you smell?" I asked Steph.
She buried her face deeper in my chest and took a deep, gasping breath. "I can't believe it was him."
JT turned to Colleen. "Baby, what did you see?"
"I can't believe it was him." Colleen repeated.
"Who?" I asked both of them. No one answered.
"Our uncle." Stephanie finally muffled.
"The uncle you will never ever in your life would meet." Colleen's face was wet with fallin tears.
"That bastard." Stephanie muffled again.
