I love you..
I felt very bad for leaving my family with Phyllis in the unconscious state that she was in. They assured me that she was fine and that there was no need to stick around. It was odd that Liliana showed up tonight. We have been searching for her for weeks and she never turned up. There was a side of me that was glad that she was okay, but then there was a side of me that wished she never turned into that horrible monster.
Jayce wrapped his large, warm arms around my waist and hugged me tight. His coconut scent rubbed all over my body. Even though I wasn't human, I felt human being in the arms of Jayce. He was perfect to me. He was everything I thought of in a lover. My body heats whenever he touches me or whispers my name.
His voice vibrated under me. "Do you think everyone will be okay?"
I drew out a long sigh and answered. "I hope they are. They are vampires. They can handle themselves."
"But aren't they still half human?"
"Yes, but they assured me that they could handle everything."
Jayce kissed my head. "Are you okay?"
I couldn't help but look into his baby blues. "What do you mean?"
"I mean with the whole awkward moment between your mother and I."
Another sigh. "I don't know. With my mother, anything can happen. Let's not talk about my family."
"Well, then, what would you like to talk about?"
"Us."
He gave a full cheesy smile and held me closer. "What about us?"
"We are not suppose to be together. I hope you know that, Jayce."
"Says who?"
"You know. There are rules."
"What rules? You're mother's?"
"No. Rules of nature."
"You mean like mother nature? What, humans are not allowed to fuck werewolves?" I could hear the agitation in his voice.
My chest burned. "Well, since you put it like that, no, you're not."
I almost went flying across the couch. He walked away with his hands jammed in his pockets. He shuffled in the fridge noisily.
"It's behind the orange juice." I stood in the doorway and watched him go apeshit.
He dragged out the half finished bottle of scotch I had. He slammed the bottle on the counter. My bottle jolted.
"Stop reading my mind!"
"Jayce, what is wrong with you?"
"I hate this! I hate all of these damn rules and warnings! I finally fall in love with a girl and she's telling me that because of nature, we cannot be with each other. If you weren't-"
"What? If I wasn't what? A monster? I'm sorry Jayce if I disappoint you because I'm not human, but if you can't accept me for what I am, then maybe we shouldn't see each other anymore. "
He sighed. "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you."
Jayce placed a hand on my cheek and stared into my eyes. His baby blues cooled the fire of my orange hazels. "I love you for who and what you are Stephanie Ann Schiro."
"And I love you for who and what you are Jayce Brian Masters."
His hot lips parted mine and my entire body went warm. My spine ached. I shivered it off and kissed his lips deeper. I could feel my tongue reaching for his. He moaned softly and pulled me closer.
