Surrounded we are
By our constant need for validation
It's all that we crave for
Validation
Such a strange necessity to require
Here we are
Always looking for affirmation
The need to be authentic and unique
Seeking for that golden stamp of approval
Wired into us from the moment we were born
The moment they told us who we needed to be
When our eyes and minds opened to the world
And realised we weren't actually living life
Validation
It's all around us
On our big screens and small screens
Our own way of connecting with one another
Relating to each other
Deep down, we all want to be accepted
By friends, family, society
You're not invalid
In fact, you matter
Cause at the end of the day
It's all talk and speculations
In God's eyes, you're already validated
