~Nichole's POV~

The brightness could be seen through my eyelids. I could hear soft music playing. A harper and a violin were the main instruments I could hear. I slowly opened my eyes blinking a couple of times to adjust to the light.

I looked around only to find nothing. Literally. Nothing at all. All I saw was white. White and it was all bright. Slowly the setting changed into an empty field and the music stopped. A meadow full of flowers and tall grass. There was a tree in the center with flowers circling it.

"Nichole." A soft gentle voice called out. I turned around and gasped when I saw who it was.

"Mom?" I called out.

"Yes baby, it's me." She smiles. I ran to into her open arms and hugged her tightly. I cried into her shoulder as I took in her scent. Vanilla mixed with a hint of honey.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry mom. I didn't mean any of those things. I'm sorry this is all my fault. Please forgive me. Please." I sobbed into her chest.

"Nicky-bear please don't cry. It's not your fault, I forgave you a long time ago. I always have and always will forgive you." She coos.

"Thank you. Mom I love you. Why did you leave me, why? Wait—am I dead?" I ask pulling away and looking at her. She still look beautiful as before, her soft olive skin, big brown twinkling eyes, pink plump lips, rosy cheeks, soft brown-black hair.

"No, you're not dead. You're an a coma." She says.

"So how am I here—where's dad?" I ask.

"He's not here." She smiles.

"What do you mean?" I ask confused.

"C'mon, lets go sit under the tree." She says taking my hand. I follow behind her as we approach the tree.

"I missed you so much, look how beautiful you've grown. And that young man, I approve." She turns her head and wink. The wind makes her hair and long white dress fly around.

Oh how much I miss my mother.

We sit under the tree staring at the sunset. A couple of birds chirp, while others just fly freely.

"Mom?"

"Yes sweetie?" She turns and gives me a big smile.

"Where is daddy?"

"You'll find out when you wake up." She says.

"What?" She ignores my question and keeps talking. She places a hand on my stomach and I raise an eyebrow.

"Mom what are you doing?"

"I'm checking how your baby is." If I were to be drinking water it'd probably be all over the place by now.

"M-my b-baby?" I question.

"Yes, you're pregnant." She grins widely.

"What? But how?"

"You see when two people love each other—"

"Mom! I know, but how I'm still too young. I haven't even finished high school. How will I take care of it?" I ask.

"I believe in you. You're a strong young lady, you'll be able to take care of it along with Ryder." She says.

"But what if–"

"Not what if's. I know you can, I know you will." She says. I nod.

"Mom, why did you leave me?" I ask.
