Few days later.
Normally I wake up with Rosabelle crying or Ryder trailing soft wet kisses down my neck, but today was different. Instead of waking up wrapped in Ryder's arms I woke up empty and cold. The other side of the bed was empty and I was hugging a pillow instead of Ryder.
It took me a while to realize what was going on, I quickly sat up and looked around the room. A month after Rosebelle was born we bought an apartment of the other side of the city. Its a big apartment with three room and two bathrooms. The sun peeked through the curtains and the birds chirped from the outside. A loud yawn escaped my lips as I stretched. I swung my legs over the bed slipping into my slippers. I looked at my alarm clock the green glowing number telling me it's 12:06 pm. Damn no wonder that was the best sleep I've had since forever.
Brushing my teeth and hair I skipped to kitchen. I was welcomed by the smell of bacon, sausage, pancakes, and eggs. My mouth immediately watered.
"Morning babe." Ryder greeted waving the specula in the air. His bare back was facing me and he wore basketball shorts with a apron that said 'Sexy Chef' wrapped around his waist.
I wrapped my arms around his waist and snuggled my face in his back. He turned in my arms and wrapped his arm around me picking me up in air. I squealed and he kissed me I'm my lips. I hit his chest playfully giggling to myself.
"Put me down, put me down." I squealed.
"Give me a kiss—" He was interrupted by Rosebelle crying.
"Maybe later." I say and wiggle out of his grasp. I briskly walked towards Rosebelle's room and approach her crib.
I pick her up and bounce her in my arms so she can stop crying. She keeps crying and I figure that's she's hungry. I pull down my shirt and place her little mouth on my breast seconds later she starts sucking on it.
After feeding her I change her dipper and rock her to sleep. As I was putting her back in the crib a pair of arms wrap around me. Ryder rests his chin on my shoulder and I lean my head on his shoulder.
"She's beautiful." I whisper careful not to wake her up.
"Just like her mother." He said pecking my lips.
"Obviously." I chuckle.
"You just ruined the moment." He pouted. I rolled my eyes and stared at my baby girl.
"We're going to the park tonight. Be ready by eight." He said.
"Why?" I asked.
"It's Fourth of July, we should go watch the fireworks." He says.
"But the baby." I said.
"We'll bring her." He said.
"But what if it damages her hearing or she gets scared." I say.
"She'll be okay." Ryder says.
"Fine, but if she starts crying we're going straight home." I say.
"Okay, fine."
"Let's go eat breakfast, I'm hungry." I rush out the door and straight into the kitchen. I sit on the chair for the island and Ryder sets my plate down.
"So what's the occasion?" I ask my mouth full of eggs and bacon.
"What? I can't treat my girlfriend like a queen." He responds innocently.
"Well yeah, but this," I say motioning to my know half empty plate.
"Is just weird for you to do. What's the catch?" I question.
