{A/N: This is a very short chapter, and I do apologise-it was just really, really hard to write for some reason! So, I've released it a day earlier to make up for it! I hope you enjoy and don't miss the final part of The Reptilian Invasion next Saturday! ilyasm x}

Marin smiled as an alert popped up on the Ark's screen.

NOW ENTERING EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE.

"Almost home!" he yelled into the intercom. "Only a few more minutes!"

The crew and passengers on the Ark cheered. The Silurian race––all packed together on one gargantuan spaceship.

Well, what was left of them.

Suddenly, the light's in the pilot's cabin began flickering. The co-pilot jumped in her seat. Marin ignored the fault and looked at the beautiful Earth that floated beneath them.

He was taking his race home.

And about time, too.

The lights flickered again and then shut off completely. When they switched back on, five creatures sprang out of the shadows.

"No!" Marin's co-pilot screamed as one of the creatures ripped her throat out.

Marin gasped when he saw what the creature was.

This isn't fair, Marin suddenly thought. We left Siluria because of you! You slaughtered thousands of our kind! THIS ISN'T FAIR!

Marin's bottom lip wobbled as he reached for his gun. He blasted it at the creature.

At the Krillitane.

One of the other Krillitanes grabbed his co-pilot's head and smashed it through the console. Marin jumped off his seat as sparks flew. He had lost control of the Ark. He started to curse wildly. He looked at the console that was now on fire. There was a space underneath it that he could possibly fit into.

Guns were going off and lasers were firing across the room as his fellow Silurians tried to defend themselves. He pressed a few buttons on the on console but it was no use; the Ark was one hundred percent hijacked.

He crouched under the spot under the console, feeling the heat of the fires in the cabin on the back of his neck. He was going to die.

Marin was returning home, only to return to his––and his race's––end.

And with that thought, his eyes fluttered closed and he fell unconscious.
