HERE IS CHAPTER NINE!!!!!!
*********************************
The sand was soft and engulfed my feet stubbornly while I ran, slowing me down. I ran quickly as I could along the seashore of the island.
I decided it would be better for me to run and know who was coming after me then to wade through the unknown jungle and get lost. I was sure there would be a village around here somewhere, or even someone around to help me.
There was a full moon and the white misty light beamed off everything around me, clearly showing my pathway. There were only two sounds that I could hear, my harsh, ragged panting and the calm, collective ocean idly sweeping the land.
I wanted to run in the salty water, reflecting the white moonlight, to hide my tracks but there were shells and rocks all lined up where the sea met. This would have slowed my pace even more and I would easily injure myself.
My black long hair whipped around my face and body , clinging onto me for dear life. I wish I had something to keep it put, however I should just be thankful that I had managed to escape.
I had to rip my dress from the side to allow my legs to fully extend as I sprinted. I would have rather fled naked then to be covered from head to toe and be standing in the Pirates's presence.
I shuddered when I remembered the look all those desperate, hungry men were giving me, the way their mouths were drooling and their fangs and claws protruded. I flinched at my minds exaggerations.
My throat was becoming drier and drier and the need to hydrate myself increased painfully.
The last time I ate or drank was when I was about to go to bed, right before I was kidnapped. Anger rushed through me as I remembered whose fault it was, the one who stepped into my kingdom, the one who snuck into my room at night, the one who locked me in a cage and treated me worst then dirt.
Christof, the heartless, monstrous, blasted ... Pirate. I almost wanted to through a fit over his name. The ONE, who left me with his crew members, left me to their will.
I slowed down to a jog, letting all my rage flow out of me;
I was never going to see him again, never going to hear his evil laughs or aggressive demanding voice. I would never have to see his intimidating height shadow me or have the feeling of absolute fear when he was only centimetres away from me.
But most of all I would never have to face those eyes again! Those rich greens eyes that had the power to make my legs turn to water or my breath to be taken away. When I saw them for the first time, I thought I was in my own world.
Those eyes would change my train of thought from anything; I would quiver under the strength it radiated. I hated them, I hated him, I hated Pirates in general. The truth was though, that those eyes were rare, and not just in colour but the way they crept into my soul.
Now I would only be haunted by those eyes when I got back home and something inside of me started to ache.
My stomach was grumbling at me for starving it this long. I mentally whacked my forehead as I let myself lose focus. I was so lost in my mind that I had not noticed I had changed my pace to a snail’s.
