HERE IS CHAPTER TEN
*****************************
A knock on the door startled me from my day dreams, I grumpily got up. I would be furious if it was Aiolous with his irritating teases. My wrists were sore and scratchy from the rope and the blood had soaked through it making it harder and rougher around the skin.
I went straight towards the door, “The door is locked so go away” I spoke with a bored tone. I was locked in a room, on a pirate ship with animal like men and a monstrous captain lurking around. What else could be worst?
The sound of the door clicking made me focus on the figure in front of me.
“Percy! How did you open the door ... I thought Christof had the key?” I exclaimed wide-eyed.
“Th' door was open ...” Percy raised an eyebrow.
My mouth just fell open; the door was open all this time! I could have escaped this room, looked for food, for clothes! I gawped at the door, when was it open, I had heard Christof lock the door from the other side.
“But ... but ... how?” I stuttered. Humiliation rushed through my face before it was replaced with anger.
“Anyway I brought ye som’ clothes t' wear”
I looked at Percy; he was carrying a bundles of clothes in his arms. I walked forward and took the clothing.
“Thar were a few clothes nah worn anymore so I thought ye might needs them. They be clean 'n I brought som’ extra material ye could work wit'.
I took the clothes from him; I was not very used to receiving things out of kindness. Normally I demanded and I got what I wanted. What should I say, I should say thank you. “Um ... err ... –
“No needs fer thankin', jus' reckon ye will be better off in these.” Percy smiled at me.
“Err ... alright”
Percy looked at my tied up hands, he sighed then brought out a small knife from his belt, I failed to notice before. Percy frowned, “Why th' needs t' tie her hands up inside th' cabin,” he muttered to himself. He brought the knife in between the ropes and with one quick slash my hands were free.
My wrists felt empty, like a huge weight has been lifted off, leaving behind red rough skin. I winced as I rubbed my fingers over the sore patch. I nodded my head to Percy, still unsure how to say my gratitude.
Percy picked up the devilish rope and stuffed it into his pocket. Why was he keeping it? I did not say anything and an awkward silence caved around us.
After, what felt like years, he stop staring and cleared his throat. “Th' grub be goin' t' be ready soon, I shall come back t' get ye alright,” Percy stated wearily.
I just nodded my head in agreement, I wanted Percy to leave the room quickly, I did not mind him but him being a Pirate, a Man, still did not become comforting to me.
Once I knew Percy had left me alone, I began to ponder again.
Locked in the room, why did I never check the door? I felt horrible and embarrassed. Saniya stop dwelling in your misfortune!
I went to the bathroom; the door was the same wood as the walls and was hidden from me. The only thing that gave it away was the small dented hole near the edge to hook your fingers in and pull. I was in pure relief when I had found it a while ago.
