The ropes fell off and I rubbed my wrists, sighing inwardly of the relief I felt. I looked back at Jile and linked my arms around his neck, completely pressing myself against him.

He instantly wrapped his arms around my waist, and I tried not to cringe. I gritted my teeth and pushed him gently against the back of the cage.

“So, how do ye wish t’ play?” he smiled, my arms slowly slid from his neck and I gripped tightly onto his shoulders.

“This is how we play,” I grinned evilly and in a sudden instant I brought my knee up and rammed him in his groin.

He groaned and immediately collapsed on the floor. I swiftly ran out the cage and locked it, then throwing the keys at the other side of the room I sprinted through the wooden door and ran up the stairs.

Before I knew it I was already on top deck, then I was running off the ramp, running on the land, straight towards the thick trees before me, away from these Pirates at last.

Sharp, protruding branches clawed at me as I raced through the thick greenery. I did not dare breathe, in fear that in one gulp I would slow down suddenly. There was no Moon showing a path, a way to follow or to give a small light of hope in finding my whereabouts.

But I knew that I would rather be lost in a dark, dangerous forest that to be held back in that ship. This time I had escaped, I was sure of it since only one person knew I had escaped and by the time any of the others freed him I would have disappeared.

I felt like skipping, jumping to the heavens and singing my heart out to the freedom I felt. However I knew I could not take that chance, learning from last time, I underestimated these, Pirates.

Though that did not dampen my spirits, in fact with this exhilarating, burning fever of excitement, I sprinted through the forest like a bird trying out its wings. I dodged trees, hurdled roots and ducked under vines and branches as I continued on. This time I would not stop until I was sure I was safe. Completely safe.

Water gathered in the corners of my eyes as the wind charged at me in full force. It blew my hair out wildly, as the long black strands scraped the air furiously.

A loud, agonising roar ripped through the sky, I looked up and sniffed the damp air. It was going to rain. Another great shove from the wind came and almost caused a branch to whip into me.

The trees rustled painfully as they stood against the powerful, wind. Leaves collided and crashed as they zigzagged sharply towards me.

A shiver crawled across my skin, and it was not only because the temperature had suddenly dropped. Something was wrong; I could feel it climbing up my body.
