"Mommy!" Kaelen, my oldest child, age 6, yelled from across the yard. Her black hair glistened in the sun and her blue gown hung loosely. From beside me, Legolas was trying to control Aurelius who was trying to stick his hands into Legolas's wine. I giggled at the site before resting a hand onto my bulging stomach.
"Mommy, look what I found!" Kaelen said, holding out a warg pup. It nuzzled against her body. Looking at the little thing, it looked so innocent.
"Can I keep it?" she asked, petting the pup.
"I guess so but if it hurts anyone, it will have to go." She nodded before running off with the creature. Legolas placed a hand on my back.
"This is perfect," he said quietly.
"Yes. Our lives have turned out great." With that, he leaned over and kissed me. I giggled when Aurelius pushed between us and made gurgling sounds.
"Yes, and our children are perfect too."
