Adeline finally gets done unpacking all of her needed things while the girls talk about random things like movies, music, boys, and so on. She looks over to the clock and reads that is it five o'clock in the afternoon. According to their schedules, they have to be back at the convention center at five forty five for dinner.

"The food better not be gross. If it is I will order pizza or something." Kinley complains.

You would think that the camp food would be gross, but it was so good. The workers made salad, lasagna, and then made apple pie for desert. Dinner went by good, except for the random bitchy comments that Jessica always had to dish out. While Adeline was eating, she was looking around at the other campers and seeing how old most of the people looked. According to the leaders, the campers will be organized each day by their age and grade. Since Adeline graduated, she will be in the college seminar class with tons of other college students. A majority of the campers looked around Adeline's age and then a small percent were definitely middle schoolers. And these middle schoolers had not gone through puberty because they looked around ten years old.
All of the workers were sitting at one big table and laughing. They all looked super happy. The kind of happy that Adeline doesn't even remember feeling. From what Adeline could see, there were around twenty leaders sitting at the table. There were mostly guys.

"I don't see the guy from earlier, do you? Adeline?" Jessica wonders. Adeline scans each of their faces and to no avail, hot mystery guy is not there. Was she imagining things now? Adeline snickers.

"No. Maybe he wasn't even real. Maybe we were just seeing things." Jessica just rolls her eyes.

"Of course he is real. He better be anyway. He was so hot." Jessica repeats.

"Yeah we know. You've said it about fifty times since we got here." Kinley remarks with a roll of her eyes. Jessica just gives her the death glare and continues to talk to Allison about the camp.

"So yeah, tonight after dinner we will be going to worship. I heard there is supposed to be a really awesome band performing for us and everything. Last year the band wasn't that great and we were basically sleeping the entire time. Right Adeline?" Jessica asks. Adeline nods and laughs.

"Yeah, they were pretty bad." And she was not lying about that. The "band" consisted of three people. Which is not always a bad thing, but when you have tons of teenagers in one big room you gotta be interesting enough to keep their attention. The main guy sang slow songs the entire month and repeated them everyday. I guess since there were so many complaints the camp decided to bring in a new band. Hopefully there as good as everyone is saying.
The only thing that ever interested Adeline was the music. Music is the reason she doesn't completely hate camp. It's just like going to a concert and sitting in a big room with people who are singing the exact same thing you are. In that moment you know that everyone there is loving the same thing, and there is nothing greater than that feeling. Adeline doesn't really pay much attention during the sermon part of worship. Only because they repeat the same things she has heard her whole life, "Repent from your sins. God will always forgive you and be there for you. You only need the one true God. If you don't repent, you will burn in the fiery pits of hell." Sounds lovely right? Wrong. Adeline's thoughts get interrupted by the alarm on her youth pastors apple watch.

"Looks like it's time for worship guys! Let's head to the ballroom!" David the youth pastor yells. When they first got to the camp, David gave out green armbands. These armbands coordinate where each group sits every morning and night. This makes it easier because there are over a thousand people sitting in one room together.

Adeline decides to stay in the back of her group so she doesn't get much attention. She isn't the type of person to always want the eyes on her. She was the complete opposite of Jessica considering she was walking in the front of the group and smiling at every person that looked at her. Adeline couldn't help but be jealous of her. She has a perfect family, a big house, tons of money, friends, popularity, and Adeline wanted that life too. Jessica was also super pretty. With her long flowing dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and tan skin, she's the perfect girl. All Adeline had going for her was her green eyes which she sometimes got complimented on.
