Lyra?!
"A-Alright," Lyra said, looking towards me. "You sure? You don't have to come."
That's when I realized "Ivy" wasn't her at all.
"Yeah, of course," I said, trying to evaluate life in general at this point. Suga tried to hide small laughs so I kicked him under the table. He whispered an "Ouch" as Lyra said bye and got ready to leave.
Of course I should've known, the entire personality was a flip, but that could've been an act. When she stood up to leave I noticed she wasn't even wearing the green dress Ivy was wearing in science. In fact, Lyra was probably the most modestly yet cool looking girl in the cafeteria. She had on a green shirt (probably what tricked my brain), a big hoodie wrapped around her waist and some semi-ripped jeans, just enough to be "cool" on my scale.
The bell rang, and we all got up, exiting the cafeteria with the crowd. Suga was still laughing, a confused J-Hope following us out.
"Oh. My. God. Did you actually think she was Ivy?" Suga laughed trying to walk straight.
"Oh screw you, yes, okay? I'm paranoid like that," I argued, frustration painted on my face. When Suga didn't stop laughing I kicked him in the ankle.
"Okay, okay," He sighed, trying not to fall over. "Sorry, sorry," He gave a quick side hug of apology as we walked. I'm new here, cut me some slack.
"Oh, yeah don't mess with Ivy," J-Hope said, "Lyra's nice though, she's not like her sister."
"Sister?" I questioned. They were related? Okay, then Suga should cut me even more slack.
"They're twins, yeah," He explained, "You could say Lyra's the nice twin,"
Okay at this point Suga should be cutting me a cake.
"Cool. I didn't notice her in dance though," I mentioned.
"She's in the main ensemble for 'Baby Goodnight' but Mrs. Minji really likes her - she's got a bigger role in some of the other songs." J-Hope explained. "We can show you some of the ensemble dances in case you get put in one of the groups."
"Of course I'm gonna be in the big ensemble, it's not like she can kick out the older dances from their pedestals." I said slightly laughing. J-Hope made a thoughtful smile and shrugged, beginning, "You never know," as I broke away from the group and went upstairs to Art.
"Lily!" I called when I saw Lily's blond hair in between some people. She turned around and waited for me as I caught up.
"What's up?" She asked, smiling. We entered the art room and though not many people were in the room yet, it seemed to bustle with color and movement from the art on the walls.
"Hey girls," Mrs. Rawls greeted, not busy washing paint today. The previous class must've been smart today.
"Good afternoon Mrs. Rawls," Lily chirped cheerfully, setting her stuff on a table and walking back to the drying rack. I copied her, finding my canvas on one of the middle shelves. I felt a tap on the shoulder and turned around, seeing Alice.
"Hey Rona," she smiled, grabbing her canvas that sat next to mine. I followed both of them back to a table and sat down. Lily went up to get paint and supplies, so Alice turned towards me. "How was lunch?"
"Oh, good, good," I replied, smiling. Remembering the Lyra incident I cringed in my head, but it didn't show. She cocked her poker face in curiosity as she watched my expression.
"What...?" I asked, trying to laugh off the awkward staring competition.
"You're new to town right?" She asked, leaning back in her chair casually. The stare ended, but the weird feeling still lingered.
