We walked through the 600 hallway (aka town square) which seemed to attract a lot of attention. Jin kept being stopped by people coming out of classrooms, and Jimin was talking to some guys gathered around the water fountains. I heard my name being called from a classroom to our left, and I quickly looked over.
"Rona! Wassup!" Lily greeted, running out of her class. When she got closer she see suddenly seemed younger and girlier than she usually is (was it possible? I guess). She froze up like a deer in headlights.
"What's up?" I greeted happily, my smile changing into a confused look. "Y-you okay?" I asked, concerned. She nodded slightly, and I noticed some people from her class were also looking out the door. They're staring at the band, aren't they. I said in my head. I tried to act super casual.
"Well, I don't wanna be late or anything..." I began, trailing off. I could tell she wasn't listening. "Well you should probably work on that project..." I said a little louder, but she still seemed busy with her own thoughts. I saw Lily back up a bit and suddenly felt someone's hand on my shoulder.
"Ai, Rona," Jungkook's voice said, "We oughta get out of here before Jin gets shrouded."
I didn't respond, more concerned with Lily's shy behavior. Jungkook might've caught on, I'm not quite sure, but he stepped forwards in greeting. "Lily, right?" He asked her with some sort of charming face you'd only see in movies. Lily shrank a little.
"You've got good taste in friends, Rona." Jungkook said. Lily awkwardly laughed and I looked at him with a confused smile. Oh how so I wanted to blurt out "Don't flatter yourself", but I held that rebuttal for next time.
"Stop scaring her," I whispered in his ear. He looked at me with a smile, repeating my statement. "Scaring her? I don't think I'm doing that." Jungkook said with a sweet smile. Lily laughed slightly, pointing back at the classroom. I'm so done with this guy. I thought to myself, pushing him aside.
"I've gotta go work on my project," Lily said, obviously flustered. She turned into her normal self for a split second, waving goodbye. "Cya Rona!" However, once she reached the door where her friends were, they pulled her in and the room burst into conversation. I heard the teacher inside try to make them be quiet, but it didn't seem to work. Jungkook had already rejoined the group on their way outside, standing at the end of the hall waiting for me. I ran over and stood on the other side of Jimin.
"I'm so done with you, sir," I said sternly to Jungkook. He made a goofy smile that I couldn't help but smile for. I shook my head and puffed up my cheeks, looking down. Stop it.
"Jungkook, what did you do this time?" Jimin asked, glancing at him and then trying to see through the hair I had let fall around my face. He didn't have to bend down like my old friends who were taller - a plus for him. He pushed a bit of hair aside and tried to look in at my face. I lifted my head hoping the growing redness on my cheeks would go away.
"All I did was say she had nice friends," Jungkook said casually, "What's wrong with that?"
"You can't just say that? Did you see her? She was so fluste-"I began loudly, but Jimin cut me off. "Don't worry, he's known for that," Jimin replied. I huffed loudly, which caused Jin to turn around. He pushed open the door and held it for us as we walked out towards the field.
"Jungkook likes messing with girls' feelings," Jin explained, "I don't get why since-"
Jungkook cut him off shouting, "OK, let's gooo!" pumping his fist into the air and walking quickly towards the benches in sight. Since what? I wondered, glancing at Jin, but he seemed to had already dismissed the topic. Sitting on the benches was everyone else, the remaining four. V called out to us, waving. When Jungkook was close enough he ran up to him and high-fived his waving hand. V cringed in pain and shook his hand as we approached.
