"Ow," J-Hope laughed as he got up from his backward roll, standing up and continuing the dance with a hint of laughter at his moves. The song kept going, and he did too.

"You okay?" I asked, ready to stand up and help him. He had set up a camera across the room to record himself for later review and the voices overlapping the filming would likely be unprofessional, but my excuse was that J-Hope had laughed first.

"I'm fine," he shouted somewhat loudly, moving to the next few moves with strong precision and force. He shouted out with each striking arm movement, making me laugh due to his funny concentration. He hummed out a "bum, bum, bum, bum, bum," as he moved his hand up his neck with the music, quite dramatically I might add. It was the same move he had shown us at his house when Suga had played the revised instrumental that was now playing in the practice room.

J-Hope slowed down, putting a lot of acting and emotion with his movements while his eyes were closed. I was tempted to laugh at his somewhat overreacted movements, but the amount of work he had put into the dance changed my mind - it was much more striking that way. As the music faded away he stayed in his original position, kneeling on the floor, and opened his eyes as he stood up. I flashed a smile as a I clapped a few times, interrupted by J-Hope's phone playing the next track. He seemed somewhat startled, but took a while to go stop the song, which sounded like a new instrumental I hadn't heard before, perhaps one of their new songs or simply one he practiced with.

"I've got lyrics done, sorta..." J-Hope trailed off as he scrolled through the phone he had picked up, pausing the song. "But I'm gonna run them through Yoongi-hyung... you don't have to..."

"Yeah, no I don't think I'll be of much help." I laughed and he joined me with a shake of his head. "I think you'd write an excellent song."

"Nah, I could maybe write a nursery rhyme maybe." I replied.

"Same difference."

"Give yourself a break," I smiled, pointing at the camera screen that we were watching his performance on. "Here you could be more relaxed. It'd give contrast to the rest of the dance."

"I wanted it to be sharper, though. Like, maybe..." he trailed off, tiredly holding his head with his head. I quickly smiled, moving his hand away from him and making him look back up.

"Sharp is fine - I'm saying give your body a break, specifically everything but your arms. This," I said, pointing at the screen for the few seconds that the video played from where we rewinded, "is all about the popping with the music."

"Right, so how do I stay relaxed and do sharp movements?"

"Just kinda sway with your legs, walk in a... confused stance?" I suggested, my idea seeming wary. "There's no need to be so strict with your lower half if this is right before the drop. Unless  you want a build up-"

"No, there's no build up until the drums kick in." he said, nodding his head a little. "I see what you mean... and then the drop is on the jump."

"Yeah!" I smiled, glad my idea made sense to someone else. He had a concentrated expression as he moved his arms around in minimal practice. "But if you have any other ideas that contrast with what I'm saying, do them - it's your song."

He shook his head quickly as he stood up, walking back to the center of the room. "You're the choreographer." he winked.

"Don't trust me though," I quickly said, "You're a better dancer than me."

J-Hope laughed a little, standing in the middle of the room now. "Can you play back the part?"

Without an answer I quickly went over to his phone, skipping to the part of the song we had been talking to for a while now.
