"You legit made Yoongi's day." J-Hope said as we walked towards the carpool loop on the other side of school. To avoid the traffic in the halls, we ended up walking around the building with RapMon and V. Yoongi is Suga's real name... So what should I call him? What should I call everyone? I wondered, having a mental breakdown in my head, glancing at RapMon and V.

"I've never seen him more proud of himself," RapMon began, somewhat laughing, followed by V. "Yeah, and if he is, he usually doesn't show it. Today he must have been really eager to impress."

"I mean I did tell him the fate of us at FMF depended on today." J-Hope trailed off, followed by the boys' laughing. I stood confused whether I should laugh with them.

"Wait-" I interrupted their laughter, then tried to rephrase my comment. "I'm sure you guys would do fine without me," I said, immediately stopped by V.

"You're not gonna choreograph us for FMF?!" He asked desperately, pacing around. He cursed a few times loudly before I could respond. "My god, we're screwed." He told the others.

"What? No, I'll choreograph you guys," I said quickly and defensively. V's eyes brightened and his emotions quickly changed as he grabbed the sleeve of my shirt. "Really? Like 100%?"

I turned to see J-Hope and RapMon laughing as I was awkwardly cornered into the job. RapMon jumped in, beginning, "She has time to think about it; Taehyung stop scaring her."

"Hey we've gotta go - I have somewhere I need to be by 3:15pm. Y'all are my ride." J-Hope said, nudging RapMon in his side. I had overheard earlier that they often carpooled to someone's house for rehearsal, but it seemed today everyone was going straight home.

V was still laughing from the previous ordeal, and finally came back into conversation. "Hey, do you need anything? Like notes or homework or something?" He asked. I heard RapMon snicker in the background and V turned around.

"I don't know why you're offering, you don't even take notes." RapMon laughed, causing V to hit him in the arm. "I take notes! They're just 'illegible'," V responded, probably imitating some teacher that thinks his handwriting is bad.

"Actually, hey," I began, getting their attention off of arguing,  "If one of you could send me some of the songs I could look at which ones could be best choreographed."

"Already? Yeah, of course!" J-Hope stammered, almost in disbelief I was offering to do some work the first day.

"You don't have to do all that now," RapMon began, trying to make me feel less pressured. "Is it what Taehyung said? Don't listen to him."

"Hey!" V shouted, annoyed.

I suddenly felt a buzz in my pocket and clicked my phone on. It was a text from my mom, telling me she was in the carpool lane waiting.

"Oh, my mom's waiting." I said quickly, grabbing a sticky note from a little pocket in my bookbag where I keep little useful things like paper and erasers. Unfortunately today I didn't have any writing utensil in there.

"Anyone have a pen?" I asked, and RapMon's expression changed to realization as he grabbed the pen I had lent to Jin out of his pocket. As I scribbled my number onto the paper RapMon explained  that Jin wanted him to return my pen. I felt another buzz from my pocket and stuffed the pen in my bookbag. I finished scribbling the last few digits and pulled RapMon's hand out, setting the paper in his palm. He closed his hand around it as I turned away from them.

"I really gotta go before my mom wonders where I am. Bye!" I shouted in a hurry, running towards the crowd of people waiting in the shade under the roof overhang by the carpool lane. I hope that wasn't rude. I thought, quickly finding my mom's dark green SUV hidden near the front of the line. I jumped into the front seat, stuffing my bookbag under my feet.

"Hey Mom," I said in greeting as we tried to get around the cars still waiting to pick someone up. The carpool lane today seemed as cooperative as kindergardeners sharing building blocks - whether that's interpreted as good or bad, it was hard to tell. Some cars seemed nice, letting us through, only to be followed by some car completely blocking the exit. Once we got past that ordeal, my mom seemed peppy like her normal self.

"How was school?" She asked, looking at me in the seat next to her. I was trying to take of my jacket and assured her that the first day was great.

"No problems? Did you find all your classes okay?" She asked, almost as if she was a teacher in the halls.

"Yeah, yeah," I said, "everything went fine."

"How about your classes?" She asked pesterfully, continuing to glance at me as she drove.

"Yeah, the schedule isn't messed up this time," I said jokingly, referring to my old school that had the worst scheduling problems in any school I've been too - and know that I've changed schools a lot.

She seemed to catch my joke, laughing as we waited at a traffic light. "Have much homework?" She asked.

Mrs. Ray gave me the packet and Mr. Cona assigned the essay... Other than that, though, no. "Not much," I replied, "but there's some make up work I have to finish."

"If you don't have much homework, Dad and I were thinking about taking the family out to eat." She explained as she suddenly stepped on the gas petal. I expected it though, she always does that.

"That sounds cool, where to?" I asked, looking out the window. There were quite a few restaurants around here, but I hadn't heard of any.

"I'm not sure yet, Dad's looking up places. Did any of your friends talk about restaurants?" She asked me. Of course - my mom always assumes kids talk about actually useful things, like the number of siblings they have, the number of hours they spend on their phone, the age of their parents - Yeah, of course we talk about the nearest restaurants. I thought to myself.

I would usually respond, "What friends?" but the practice that occurred today told me otherwise. I smiled, getting out my phone.

"Let me ask them."
