Hey, it doesn't matter.

As long as you don't ruin Lyra's life too I think you'll be fine.

As Isabella disappeared out the back door of the cafeteria, Hoseok took in a deep breath, letting out a tired sigh. "At least I tried right?" He asked me, making a sad smile. When I didn't say anything back he continued, "Would you forgive me if I ruined your life?"

"Wha-" I stuttered, trying to analyze his emotions. "I don't know what you mean..."
"Let's say we got paired together to dance on a really big stage. And let's say, maybe, there's some really hard part where I have to pick you up and do some fancy twirl thing... and it's really hard, like it had been practiced millions of times correctly and it was perfectly ready for performance..."

I nodded slightly as he went on, "And on the big day, middle of the song, I.. uh..." I noticed J-Hope cringe at his own thoughts, "Like, maybe, um...  Let's say my hand slipped and I dropped you on the side of your foot-"

"If it was an accident then it isn't your fault." I replied, trying to assure him he wasn't guilty, his expression clearly showing he was mad at himself.

"But if someone walks in with a gun and trips, the bullet firing at someone, who's fault is it for killing them?" J-Hope asked, arguing against the idea of defending himself.

"The guy who tripped but-" I began, being harshly cut off.

"Exactly," J-Hope sneered, holding his head in his hands.

"But I'm sure if it was obviously an accident then the injured one would forgive-" I tried to say, cut off again. J-Hope wasn't going to let anyone defend him.

"What if the injured one couldn't dance for the rest of the year?" He asked. The story of the gunman had suddenly merged back into the story of Isabella.

I stayed quiet, trying to find a good answer.

"So it makes sense she's still mad at me." J-Hope concluded.

"It makes sense she'll never forgive me."

"Yo Rona!"

Hearing my name, I turned around swiftly to the direction of the call. Lily suddenly ran straight into me, failing to skid to a halt.

"Owww..." I trailed off, shaking the foot she had stepped on. I heard Lily's equally loud groan of pain as she held the arm that had hit me. We stared at each other for a few seconds, then burst out laughing.

Just then, as if the world was trying to show off how dumb we looked in the moment, Alice came down the hallway and stared at us like we were crazy idiots. She rolled her eyes and passed us into the art room, smiling a tiny bit. We followed her shortly after, greeting Mrs. Rawls who was quickly helping everyone get together whatever works they had been working on. Afterwards she returned to her desk to help any students in need.

Mrs. Rawls soon gave a new project, this time with a theme of "Things I Love". Although most hadn't finished whatever they had been working on from the free paint the last couple of days, Mrs. Rawls explained that they needed a few more big grades before winter break arrived.
Immediately after she had finished instructions I jumped up and rushed over to the cabinets and classroom materials, Lily right behind me; I quickly learned that if I was polite and let others go ahead of me, all the nicest paint brushes and full paint bottles would be taken.

I gathered what I needed and returned to my seat, bringing some supplies for Lily and Alice too. I settled on making an almost-collage of multiple aspects of things that I love.

"I'm gonna make mine like one of those poems as the shape of what it's about." Lily explained, trying to draw something in the air with her finger. "What are they called?"
