to mean something to me again |

sometimes, tyler feels like there might be things inside of him.

he can feel them clawing at him, clawing their jagged talons through his veins. tyler doesn't realize what's happening until he passes out on his bedroom floor at three in the morning and wakes up in pain.

his fingernails are torn and his skin is marked with blotchy, blue-black bruises. they're scattered over his body like a disease. there are scratches, too; long, angry claw marks. his body is a disturbing, excruciating piece of art and he is the artist.

it hurt to get out of bed that day, so he didn't. he waited until his parents came into his room to give him food and check on him.

as soon as they laid eyes on tyler, they took him to the doctor's and then dr hammond, his therapist.

he tells them it wasn't him who did this. he would never do this to himself.

they put him on stronger medication.
