Chapter 5

Namjoon POV

I quickly shut Lacey's door and followed Jin down the long spiral staircase. Jin turned around and gave me a weird smile.

"What you wanting?" I asked as I over took him on the stairs.

"You've got it bad. You've fallen for her haven't you?" Jin asked given me a smile.

"No" I said as I tried to walk away but Jin grabbed my wrist and pulled me back so I was facing him.

"You're a terrible liar Namjoon. Now tell me the truth" he says.

"Fine I love her, happy?" I said running my hands through my hair.

"Oh my, Namjoonies in love" a deep voice said.

I turned around to see the rest of the guys and their mates standing behind me with smirks on their faces. I rolled my eyes as they all came out to face me.

"Shut it you guys" I said as I try to push past them but they block my way.

"You've found your mate haven't you?" Yoongi asked.

"So what if I have? Are we forgetting something? Lacey is human" I said getting angry with myself.

Yoongi comes up to me put his hand on my shoulder. "We were all human at one point Namjoon and that changed. You saved all of us and you can do the same for Lacey"

"But I don't think I could take away her human life not unless she was close to dying" I said to them. "And what if she doesn't feel the same. She may just see me as that guy who saves her all the time"

Taehyung came up and stood next to me giving me a small smile. "You need to tell her"

"No! Are you crazy? She just got here and she's had a pretty hellish day with her family trying to kill her" I yelled but covered my mouth when I realised that Lacey could hear me.

"I'm not saying right away but sometimes you have to take the risk. That's what I did when I met Leah and she was human" he said smiling at Leah who was standing behind him.

"He's right. I was human when I met Tae and I fell for him instantly, he changed me after I was close to death. I got really hurt and he saved me" Leah said taking Taehyung's hand and kissing his cheek.

"We all took risks when we met our mates and some of us are yet meet their mates but they will do the same. You always have to take risks when you meet your mate and you can't control who you fall for" Yoongi said.

Jamie came up next to and took his hand smiling lovingly up at Yoongi. He kissed her and pulled her closer to him. They met shortly after I turned Yoongi, Jamie was the only one who was already a vampire when they met but she was brainwashed in to being part of the evils. That changed when she met Yoongi one night. He triggered something within her that made her break out of whatever was controlling her. He managed to change her in to a better person.

"But I'm not ready to take that plunge. Not yet anyway" I said pushing past them.

"Don't leave it too late" I heard Jin say before I left.

I shut the door behind me and broke out in to a sprint heading towards the woods. The wind hit me but I didn't feel the cold, I missed the feeling of being cold. Although I did enjoy being a vampire there were somethings I missed about being human. Like feeling the warmth of someone's skin on mine.

I stopped on the edge of a cliff and gazed out at the ocean and sighed. They were right. I was in love with Lacey, it was something I never wanted to happen or saw happening. It started off as a simple job.

The door bell rang out and I quickly made my way to the door to answer it. I opened the door and was confronted by my creator, I never learnt his name but he visited every thrity or so years to check to see if I had killed anyone yet. But today seemed different, urgent. He pushed past me and turned to face me in the lobby part of our house.

"Namjoon, we must speak. Is there anywhere we can talk privately? I mean I don't mind if you tell your other friends about what we have spoken about but I'd rather talk about it alone" he said.

I nodded and walked him towards our study which wasn't a far walk from the door. The other poked their heads out and saw him, they were kind of afraid of him but i didn't blame them. He was kind of intimidating.

I opened the door and let us both in. The room was eerily quiet as we stood looking at each for a second.

"Take a seat" I said pointing towards the seat.

I went behind the desk and sat down behind the it waiting for him to talk. He stared at me and I knew something was wrong. He visited me about seven years ago so it was weird for him to be here earlier than usual.

"So what is you wanted to talk about?" I asked.

"I need to ask a favor of you" he starts and I nod. "A baby will be born in the next few days but she isn't ordinary. She's special"

"Okay but what's this got to do with me?" I asked confused.

"I am asking you to watch over her, protect her. Make sure she doesn't get hurt" he said to me.

I let out a sigh. "How is she special?"

"I can't tell you but you must protect her at all costs" he says. "I'm begging you"

"Fine. Where can I find her?" I asked.

He told me her location and he got ready to leave. I rolled my eyes as I closed the door and turned around to find them all waiting on me.

"What did he want?" Hoseok asked me.

"To protect a girl because she's apparently special" I tell them.

"Special how?" Jungkook asked.

"He wouldn't tell me but I have to do what he says" I said.

They nodded and left me alone in the lobby. I ran my hand through my hair and leaned against the door, what have I gotten myself in to.

I had no idea that I would fall for her once she grew up. She became an adult and she was beautiful, it hurt to stay away from her. I so badly wanted to show myself to her and watching her family and friends think she was crazy broke my heart. There were so many laws that I was breaking but I didn't care, I love Lacey and am willing to do whatever it takes to help her.
