Chapter 9

Jamie led me to a room that I had never been before, it was like an office as it had a large oak desk and multiple book shelfs on the wall and chair surrounding the desk. She sat me down on one of the chairs and went behind the desk where she brought out a first aid kit. I looked at her questionablly and she laughed.

"We decided to keep one around just in case" Jamie says as she comes over and takes a look at my leg.

I sighed. "Today was perfect and I fucked it up"

"How?" She asked as she cleaned my leg wound.

"I ran from him. I think I'm beginning to fall for him which is stupid I know but I can't help it" I said. "I thought he was going to kiss me, we were inches from each other but we didn't kiss"

"It's a mistake Lacey. You can't help falling down" she said as she started to bandage up my leg.

"But you have to agree that falling in love with a vampire is well... I don't know how to put since you guys all fell for vampires" I said.

"Well it was different for me Lacey since I was already a vampire when I met Yoongi" she said packing away to kit.

"How did you meet Yoongi?" I asked curious.

"Well I wasn't in the right state of mind when he found me..."

The blood went down my throat smoothly as I drained the life out of my victim. I drank the last few drops and dropped their lifeless body on to the ground with no care in the world.

I felt like someone was watching me. Someone I did not know, a stranger.

"Who's there?" I called out in to the darkness.

A figure came out from the shadows, not the tallest of people but they weren't human. Maybe they were like me.

"I smelt the blood" he says to me.

A man, who is he?

"Well I'm sorry but there's no more left. I drank it all" I say smirking.

He comes closer to me but I still can't see his face.

"You're one of them aren't you?" He asks sounding frightened.

"One of what?" I asked.

"The evils" he whispers like it's a secret.

"So what if I am?" I ask wondering why he even cares.

At that moment he takes another step forward and I see his face. Something inside me changes, I don't know how but I didn't feel like I was being controlled. It's like I had snapped back to reality and realised what I had done, the pain I had caused people.

"You've realised your errors haven't you?" He asks.

"What have you done to me?" I ask frightened.

"I can break the bonds that control people. The person who turned you had also been controlling you through your mind, it's their gift. My gift is being able to break their control of people" he told me.
