Chapter 11

Namjoon POV

The girls took Lacey to Jamie and Yoongi's room to hide her. I didn't care what happened to me but I had to make sure she was okay.

We made our way down the spiral staircase towards the door. I took a deep breath as I opened the door and I was shocked by what I found. My creator. Why was he here?

"Hello Namjoon" he said smiling.

I was speachless. Why was he here? He can't find out about Lacey being here, he'll kill me or her or both.

"Well aren't you going to let me in?" He asks gesturing at the door.

I stepped aside and he walked in to the lobby looking around the room.

"Looks different from the last time I was here" he said turning back to face me.

"It's my creator. Stay hidden" I said to Lacey through my head.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Woah don't waste no time" he said laughing. "Can't I just visit?"

"No. You only come to see me if you want something from me, last time you asked to watch over Lacey" I said to him crossing my arms across my chest.

He chuckles. "Okay. Well Lacey's went missing"

"Has she?" I asked.

"Yes and don't act dumb Namjoon it's not a good look on you" he said to me. "Now where is she?"

"I don't know" I lied.

He rolls his eyes. "I've known you for centuries Namjoon, I created you, and yet you lie to me. Now tell me where she is"

"She's not here" I lied again.

He takes a deep inhale and his eyes glow a deep red colour as he smiles at me. "You liar. I can smell her"

I broke in to a sprint towards the room and burst open the door frightening the girls. He was close after me so I stood in front of Lacey protectively.

"Why must you lie to me Namjoon?" He asked cocking his head to one side and smirking.

"Stay away from her" I growled.

"You idiot. You're in love with her" he growls back at me.

"I won't ask you again. Stay away from Lacey"

The rest of the house came in to the room and stood in front of Lacey with me. He looked at us all and shook his head.

"You're all idiots. They will come after her, the evils want her and there isn't enough of you to protect her" he said to us as he leans up so he could look at Lacey. "You don't even realise how much of value you are to the evils. You're special and soon you'll find out"

He turned and ran out of the room leaving us. I turned to see Lacey who was curled on the floor, her eyes filled with fear. I kneeled on the floor so I was eye to eye with her, she looked up at me like she was close to tears.

"Lacey please don't cry" I said to her as I pulled her to me.

I stroked her long brown hair as she sobbed in to my chest. Everyone looked down at us with sympathy, she had had so much happen to her in the past few days. She had kept it all inside and now it was all coming out.

"I don't want you guys to get hurt" she sobbed.

"We won't get hurt Lacey" I told her.

"But what did he mean about special" she questioned.

"He never told me. Trust me I would of told you if I knew" I tell her.

She sniffles as she looks up at me, her eyeliner and mascara running down her face. I raise my hand and wiped under her eye.

"Am I going to die?" She asks.

"I won't let them hurt you" I told her.

"But if protecting me means that you guys will get hurt then I can't let you" she said to me.

"But Lacey" I start but Lacey cuts me off.

"No buts Namjoon" she said as she stood up. "I've grown so close and fond of you all that the thought of you guys getting hurt pains me. And if you guys got hurt because you were protecting me then I can't deal with that"

She runs out of the room and out of sight. I remain on the floor in shock, she would rather die than let any of us get hurt. Jimin comes over and kneels beside me.

"You know this could be different Namjoon" Jimin said to me.

"What do you mean?" I asked looking at him.

"You could change her" he tells me.

I stand up shocked. "No that's out of the question"

"She'll be able to protect herself. Maybe that's what that guy means by special" Jimin said to me.

"He's right Namjoon" Taehyung said to me.

"Have you seen something?" I asked Taehyung.

"It's still blurry but Lacey was able to do things that I've never seen since becoming a vampire and I highly doubt you've seen" Taehyung said to me.

"So she wasn't human?" I questioned.

He shook his head. "She defiantly wasn't human. Her eyes were red but she didn't look evil"

I sit down on the bed behind me with my head in my hands. Could I bring myself to do it? I mean she isn't hurt or dying so could I really take away her human life? She had so much living to do as a human but this way she could be safe.

"Namjoon you don't have to change her. One of us could do it" I hear Hannah say from across the room.

"No" I said looking up. "If she needs to be changed then I'll do it but I need to think about it"

They all nodded. I got up from the bed and left the room to try and look for Lacey.

"Lacey, where are you?" I asked.

"I'm where you took me today" she said back to me.

I broke in to a sprint and was at our secret spot within seconds. She was cross legged on the ground, her eyes red and puffy from crying. I sat down next to her, she put her head on my shoulder.

"So what's the plan?" She asked me.

I took a deep breath. "Well there's something they did bring up"

"Okay" she said waiting for me to continue.

"Tae said that he had a vision of you. It's still blurry but he seen you doing things that he's never seen throught his entire existence" I told her.

"What does that mean?" She asked.

"They think that you... might be born to be a vampire"

Her eyes widened. What was she going to say?
