*JENNA'S P.O.V*
There were people everywhere, music blasting, alcohol being dished out and a few couples in the corners..
I couldn't see anyone I knew, but evidently, people knew me. Just like at school, numerous pairs of eyes were glaring in my direction as I awkwardly shuffled through the crowd.
Then, I realised why they were staring..
I looked up at George, giving him a small smile as his hand snaked around my waist, guiding me through the crowds of people and into the back garden.
It was a lot more spacious out here, the warmth from George's body coming in handy in the night's air.
"Want a drink?" He whispered to me. I nodded, smiling.
He took his arm away and went over to the long table near the fence. Now I felt alone.
I shuffled around on the spot, moving as people wanted to pass me. I moved to the right as someone approached, but they didn't go past, just stood in front. I looked up from their feet to their face, sighing with relief as in realised it was Jaymi.
"Hey, Jenna!" He smiled, holding a drink out to me.
I smiled, shaking my head, "Hey, It's fine, George is getting me one."
He smiled, nodding and simply throwing the bottle down. I stepped back a bit, laughing and looking up at him.
"So, you like this?" He asked, looking around us. Even though I knew my surroundings by now, I still felt the need to look round.
"Its.. different," I laughed, "But, I haven't been here long enough yet.."
He nodded, taking a sip of his beer, smiling. "Good point, babe"
I laughed, swaying a little on the spot to the music before feeling two arms wrap round my waist, causing the familiar butterflies to erupt.
"There you go" He smiled, resting his chin on my shoulder and squeezing a bottle between my hands.
I blushed, looking round to him and smiled, "Thank you"
He let go, standing beside me instead and nodding before waving to someone and before I knew it, I was being led over to the far corner of the garden to George's friends.
"Reet, Lad!" Josh smirked, shoulder bumping him.
"Hey" He laughed, keeping his friend steady, anyone could see that he was quite tipsy..
I smiled and stepped back, looking at them all greeting and 'man hugging' until attention awkwardly turned to me.
"Ooo, George's girlfrieenndd" They cooed at me, I laughed as George rolled his eyes, guiding me away quicker than he'd let me there.
"You look gorgeous, tonight Jen," He smiled at me, lacing his arms round my waist on the dance square.
I felt my cheeks heat up, looking down at the floor, "So do you.." I smiled.
He really did. He was in black skinny jeans, plain white T-shirt and perfectly fitted leather jacket.
He chuckled, looking past and over my head, "Cheers"
I smiled, looking up at him as we swayed to the music in the middle of all these people. Usually, I would have ran off by now, hiding away by just sitting with the crowd.
But, no, it was literally impossible to leave his side. He had such and allure, and I don't know if that's a bad or good thing yet.
His grip around my waist suddenly tensed, looking over my shoulder. He quickly grabbed my hand, pulling me away from the dance square.
"George? Wha-?"
"GEORGE."
A voice came from behind, making me stop and turn as George kept walking. I saw that it was Jack, a boy in our year. He glared at me, shoving my shoulder as he past, following George.
*GEORGE'S P.O.V*
Jack was trouble when he was sober never mind pissed.
I felt Jenna slip out my grip to look round to him as he called, I debated whether to stay with her, but the sheer anger on Jack's face was enough to keep my feet going.
I pushed through the crowds of people, reaching the house before someone harshly grabbed my shoulder, shoving me against the wall.
"Why are you here?!" He spat, closing his forearm around my neck, gathering a crowd.
"I came with my friends, I'm not causing any fucking trouble!" I yelled back, clawing at his arm.
He chuckled and rolled his eyes, digging it into my neck harder, causing the crowd to gasp and laugh.
My eyes scanned round, falling onto Jenna. She can't see me loosing.
I tried my hardest to get his arm off, bending it behind his back. "It was you and Emily who started this anyway! Not me!"
He growled, turning round and grabbing my shoulders, throwing me onto the grass hard.
"At least you have your new fucking buddy!" He hissed.
My blood boiled as I curved my foot round his ankle, seeing him topple over before sending recurring punches to his body.
The crowd stepped back, flashes of phone cameras and video lights all around as we rolled and rolled, punched and punched.
Suddenly, two arms pulled me up and off Jack, turning round to see it was JJ.
I nodded at him, wiping my bloody lip before seeing Jenna pop out of the crowd and run to me, wrapping her arms round my bruised torso.
"Let's go.." She whispered, looking around before down at Jack.
I nodded, holding her back and turning round, quickly walking back through the house and out the front door.
"He's the one your ex cheated on you with, right?" Jenna asked, looking up at me.
I nodded, looking at the sky, "Yup."
"Well, they've both missed out on someone like you, George" She smiled, squeezing my hand. I could tell she got more and more comfortable around me every day.
That was enough to make me smile, even though my stomach was killing me.
"Thanks, Jen.." I said, pulling her close with one arm.
She wrapped her arm around my waist, making me stupidly wince and back out.
Idiot, George. Coward.
"Sorry, come on.. Let's get you home"..
