Pearl

Steven's P.O.V:
I was woken up by Pearl lightly poking me in the face. "Pearl" I say, waking up, "Oh, sorry, Steven" She blushed. "We're going on a mission and was wondering if you wanted to come?" I thought about it for a moment and said, as nicely as possible, "No thanks, and plus, I'm going out with Connie later" "not like a date though" I thought. Pearl's smile was immediately wiped from her face. "Oh" She said and got up and started walking to the warp pad. "What's wrong?" I ask. She just stepped up to the warp pad ignoring me and teleported away. I was confused at first, but then I just shrugged it off and got ready for the day. I could barely contain my excitement for the events of the days to come.

Pearl's P.O.V:
"Going out with Connie? A human?" I still couldn't get over them fusing. I just wanted to cry as the warp pad brought me to the old gem battlefield. "Ugh" I said as I saw the monster. It was a ten foot high gem mutant with three arms. Garnet and Amethyst were already fighting it when I arrived. They were making good progress when Amethyst yelled, "Hey Pearl! Mind helping?" I was really not in the mood, but I summoned my spear and started fighting it.

Connie's P.O.V:
Dreaming:
I was sitting at the beach with Steven and the sun was almost down, setting a perfect sort of red, purple-ish glow on the water and beach. It was, to say the least, romantic. All of the sudden he starts the music we first fused to. He gets up and extends his hand to me and blushes saying, "Will you dance with me?" I take his hand and we start dancing. Instead of us fusing, I leaned in to kiss him and...
Awake:
I woke up with a start and see that I'm in bed. I calm down and slowly get up. While I'm getting dressed in a red shirt with a star on it and long blue skirt and red boots, I think to myself, "I wonder what Steven and I are going to do today?" I blushed at the thought of Steven. I really like him, I wonder if he feels the same. My phone buzzing was the only thing that brought me out of my thoughts. It was Steven.
"Hey, Steven! What do you want to do today?
"I'll pick you up in a few minutes, if that's okay with your parents?"
"Don't worry, Steven, they went on a business trip last night. They'll be gone for four days!"
"Hooray!"
I giggled "What are you so happy about?"
"Umm... n-nothing! O-okay I'll see you in a few!" and hang up.
"I love that boy." I think to myself and blushed.
