Questioned Love

The Explanation

Stevonnie's P.O.V:
I woke up to screaming. I opened my eyes to see we fused while we were sleeping. "Oh no." I thought and jumped up. "Who are you and what are you doing in my house?!" Mom/Dr Mahashwaren screamed. "Mom, it's us!" I tried to tell her. "What?!" "It's. Us. As in me and Steven!" We unfused and fell on the floor.

Connie's P.O.V:
My mom immediately fell on the floor embracing me in a hug. "What were you doing with him?" Steven answered, "We, um... fused. Hehe..." He was rubbing the back of his head. My mom still looked confused so I said, "Steven, We need Garnet over here to explain."
We were sitting in our living room when Garnet got over to my house. We heard a knock on the door and my dad opened it up. "Are you, Garnet?" "Yes." She walked in and sat down. "What's wrong?" She asks.
"Well" Mom starts, "Steven and Connie fused and they don't know how to explain it." She looked a little worried.
"Well, fusion isn't what you would think. I can or they can show you what exactly fusion is."
"Okay, but what is it?" My dad spoke up.
"It's when two beings dance to form a new third being."
"What?! Connie! Steven!" We both looked at him. "Yes?" We said in unison.
"Show us exactly what this fusion dance is!"
"Okay..." Steven said wearily. He held out his hand to me and said, "May I have this dance?" We both giggled.
I got up and we started dancing. I felt kind of nervous but I had Steven there and all of that went away.

Stevonnie's P.O.V:
It felt easier to fuse this time. I don't know why. I opened my eyes to see Garnet smiling and my/Connie's parents looking at me in shock.
"Mom, dad" the Connie side of me spoke, "this is Stevonnie." I smiled sheepishly.
"No." Connie's dad said. I started to tear up.
"What?" I asked.
"NO!" He screamed. I flinched.
"Stop it." Garnet said, walking up to my dad. "if they want to be fused, you let them. You know if you ground Connie, they are just going to be together behind your back. Connie and Steven are old enough to make this decision by themselves."
He looked defeated. Then Dr Mahashwaren said, "Why do you approve of this?" Garnet took off her glasses and said, "I am a fusion" and with that, she unfused.
"Ruby! Sapphire!" I screamed and hugged them. I picked them and put them on my shoulders and they were talking.
Ruby was the one that spoke up. "You see, Dr Mahashwaren, Stevonnie, as well as Garnet, is a fusion of love. You cannot keep us apart for long before we are back together again. Do you understand?"
"I think so. But we need time to think, so you can leave. Even you Connie... Stevonnie."
Ruby and Sapphire refused and we walked out.
"Huh" I said, "that went better than expected."
"Well there was a 38.51% chance of them freaking out and moving away forever." Garnet said.
"Then I would've stayed with Steven forever." Connie said and I hugged myself, smiling.
"There was no chance of you leaving even if they decided to move."
"I knew it" I smiled and walked behind Garnet back to the temple.
