Questioned Love

The Start of Something

Stevonnie's P.O.V:
When I woke up, the sun was just starting to come up and it was beautiful.
I smiled, sitting up and and looking at the rising Sun.
"It's beautiful, isn't it, Steven?"
"Not as beautiful as you, Connie"
I giggled. "That's so cheesy Steven"
A few minutes later, I stood up and walked to the bathroom to get ready for the day.
"Well, we were gonna have to do this at some point" Connie stated.
I hesitated at the door, but walked in.

~Time Skip~

I didn't know why, I just couldn't stop blushing for an hour after I left the bathroom. The gems were really confused why, but Garnet giggled slightly.

Garnet told me to follow her out on the beach. I got up and jumped off the balcony and landed with a thud. When I stood up, Garnet spoke, "Now, summon your weapon." So I did, and it was easy. "Good, now make yourself a little bit older." I concentrated on feeling older and slowly changed my age. She smiled brightly. "Wonderful. Now let's see how well you perform under pressure."
I looked at her with uncertainty, and she told me to to complete all of the challenges in a certain amount of time.

As I walked along the beach, the giant pufferfish attacked us out of nowhere.
"She unleashed a corrupted gem?!" I yelled and summoned my shield. I looked around and noticed a small, sharp outcrop in the rock and decided to lure it there. As I retreated, it followed me with uncertainty and finally got into position. I threw my shield as hard as I could and the the rock fell on top of the creature popping it. As the gem fell, I caught it and bubbled it.

Garnet's P.O.V:

I was surprised at their tactics, but they completed the challenges, and swiftly too.
"They know each other well" Ruby said.
"They love each other a lot" Sapphire corrected.
"They are only 14 and 13 years old, Sapphire!" Ruby exclaimed.
"Calm  down, Ruby, they are old enough to decide what they want."
I twisted my hand and frowned, displaying Ruby's anger. I didn't even realize that she was standing in front of me, looking confused. I stood up, took her hand, and said, "Go have fun, Stevonnie."

She still looked unsure, and asked, "Is that creep Kevin gonna be at the boardwalk?" I quickly take a look into their future, seeing things and found Stevonnie walking around the boardwalk, and snap back to reality. I smiled, "No" I answer, "he's not going to be here for a while." She gets excited and hugs me. "Thanks, Garnet!" She exclaims and runs off, laughing. I adjust my glasses and walk off toward the temple.
